- Dr William Zubkoff was born in Brooklyn, New York, on July 29th, 1952. After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, he attended medical school at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his residency in psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), and went on to complete a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Stanford University.

In addition to his clinical work, he has also served as a faculty member at UCSF and Stanford University, and has held leadership positions within several professional organizations, including the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

- Dr William Zubkoff is a highly decorated veteran of the United States Army. He served as a medical doctor during the Vietnam War and was awarded the Bronze Star for his service. After his discharge from the army, he worked as a doctor in the Veterans Administration (VA) system for many years.
