- Internationally recognized activist Bamby Salcedo has not only brought voice and visibility to the transgender community, but she has also advocated for those affected by migration, HIV/AIDS, and incarceration. She is particularly interested in how these concerns intersect with one another and how they have an impact on young people, LGBT+ individuals, and Latin@/Latinx communities.
- This event is free and open to the public. Please invite your colleagues, your students, your friends, and your family to what is sure to be a fascinating presentation.
- This event is sponsored by the LGBT+ Allies Network, LGBTQ+ Programs and Services, the College of Social Sciences, the President's Commission on Human Relations and Equity, Latino/a Programs and Services, the Women's Studies Program, and the Latina/o Faculty and Staff Association.
- ASL interpreters will be present.
