so it'll work repeatedly on people who are bad
but other players who either
know the data
or know it intuitively
that it doesn't work
they'll just beat you every time
because they move to the spots to trigger your bear traps
that don't work
You have no reasonable expectation for things to work
but you still do them
even if I'm obviously baiting them

you're just trying to execute tech
and setups
you aren't playing the neutral game
it can be said that you're barely playing Melee, you're playing some kind of single player game
When I punished ledgehop
your solution was not to stop ledgehopping
it was to grab a bomb
to make your ledgehop safer
that is a microcosm of your thought process
I don't need to change my behavior
I just need to do a technique
that will make my behavior good

That's not always true in fighting games
You can't spam your slow ass grab and think it's ok because you'll amsah tech my 16 damage
you can't pull bombs in close situations because you think it's ok because even if I hit you you still retain the bomb
mitigating how badly you lose a situation doesn't make it ok to lose situations
and doing bad things because you have setups or tech
doesn't make them good things
If you aren't looking at the screen and being honest with what you're trying to do
you're going to lose in 2020 melee
