DiscoDude: ---BEGIN SESSION---
DiscoDude: Session logging commenced
DetectiveCaillou: It's the dawn of a new day on Cacerac K* IV, the world of fantasy and dungeon crawling; where technology from the stars is mistaken for magic; where a pair of slimes are embarking from their dungeon for the first time after they were informed of their master's passing!
DetectiveCaillou: Let it be known; what's going through their heads right now, as they embark on a search for leads on their Dungeon Master's "home" where the inheritance waits, sure that champions from the master's other holdings are surely out there trying to beat them to it?
DetectiveCaillou: Do they intend to endear themselves to the world, and be hefted up with their prize on the shoulders of cheering crowds? Or do they have plans to make their enemies scatter before them in fear and despair? Or perhaps they simply intend to kick ass and take names?
Reality Glitch: ((Is this prompting me to write a conversation between the two?))
DetectiveCaillou: (Sure! We'll use the overall vibe you give off to determine your first roll after the "intro" scene's over.)
DetectiveCaillou: (Oh, and;)
DetectiveCaillou: *Planet: Cacerac KIV
High Concept: Planet of High Fantasy

Difficulty: Mediocre (+0)

Special Rules: N/A
Reality Glitch: ((I need a moment; mother drafted me to pack the shower curtain.))
DetectiveCaillou: (Got it.)
Reality Glitch: The two ooze-folk walk out into the light of the three suns for the first time. One of them, a light blue in color, sporting a mildly feminine build dressed in sturdy traveling boots, fingerless gloves, a “cargo” belt, and one of those open cut leather mini-vests normally worn solely as accent the outfit underneath, and carrying a powered-down “Sun-Edged Blade”. The other, a pale green taking a mildly masculine shape, wearing matching boots and gloves, a bandolier to complement the first’s belt a part of slightly tattered explorer’s shorts, and an energy bow sunk into their gooey back.
Reality Glitch: With their bodies adjusting to the modest (but intense for them) solar radiation, they look around at the environment surrounding the dungeon’s entrance. A small doorway at the base of a cliff-face in the middle of a forest clearing surrounded by trees; forms, the likes of which the two have never before seen.
Reality Glitch: The blue slime inhaled in excitement, “Haaaa~~! It’s so pretty and new!”
The green slime responds, “This is so going in our scrapbook!”
“Do you even know what those are?”
“No; but Ooziemandias always said that, so I thought it fit.”
“Whatever; let’s get going!” Blue runs off in a random direction, leaving Green to scramble at playing catch-up.
Reality Glitch: ((Is that Good (+3) or should I keep going?))
DetectiveCaillou: (I think that's a good, Friendly vibe I'm getting.)

DetectiveCaillou: (Once the Progress track can't absorb any more shifts, you've reached your destination.)

DetectiveCaillou: (Yep.)
DetectiveCaillou: (Last 4, really.)

Reality Glitch: ((Can we retcon the planet’s name? “K*” sounds too much like “A*”, and I was trying too make it different from the real-world “A*”.))
DetectiveCaillou: (Not sure what the significance of that is, but okay?)
Reality Glitch: ((Cacerac L IV))
DetectiveCaillou: (Sure.)
DetectiveCaillou: (Now, let's see... That prompt is a little vague... Well, the Rival fight will handle your first conflict, so skill it is!)
Now, as our intrepid explorers travel the roads of the nearby forests and countryside, they happen on a recently collapsed cottage! It's still smoking, like a tiny fireball struck it! A farmer and his family are fervently trying to put it out. One of his sons notices you and runs over. "Ah- A m-m-mon... Y-you're from a dungeon right? You're not 'on the clock' or something, are you?! Please, help! We'd be grateful to you... a-and whatever master you serve!"

Reality Glitch: A sharp, quick inhaling sound of surprise comes from the each slime as the boy approaches.
“What happened?” our blue goo asks as concern strikes across both of their gelatinous facial facsimiles.
Reality Glitch: ((I got the colors mixed up in my previoues i.C. post; I edited it it you care about that.))
DetectiveCaillou: (It's fine.)
DetectiveCaillou: "It- I dunno! It's a big metal chunk-a something and it was on fire! Please, are you going to help?"
Reality Glitch: They look to each other before bolting past the child to leap into the wreckage.
DetectiveCaillou: (Alright, passive resistance of Average (+1) at the easiest. What Skill are you using?)
Reality Glitch: ((Athlete seems most appropriate to make haste of squeezing in under the collapsed wood and stone.))
DetectiveCaillou: (Alright. Squeezing and due diligence, go!)
Reality Glitch: ((Difficulty?))
DetectiveCaillou: (Average (+1).)
Reality Glitch: !f 3 (Overcome Average (+1) passive opposition with Athlete)
DiscoDude: <@Reality Glitch> rolled 4dF+3 for 3 [4dF = [+][ ][ ][-] By the Numbers/First Steps ☼]
DetectiveCaillou: (Alright, describe how you successfully fight that fire!)
Reality Glitch: ((Oh! Thought there was still someone in there.))
Reality Glitch: As their gear won't fit, it all gets left behind as the ooze quickly their way through the rubble, their highly insulating bodies able to smother any of the flames they come across. Once they fail to find anyone still inside, they set to work extinguishing the rest of the structure.
DetectiveCaillou: You do notice that whatever fell into the house was large, flat, and metallic. The farmer's younger brother is running in from the field, scythe in hand from his work, when you finally come out. "Oh thank the gods you're all okay! I saw it fall!"
Reality Glitch: As the two redon their gear, the blue slime asks, "Fire's not as bad for us; we're fine."
"What fell?" the green slime asked.
DetectiveCaillou: "I don't know; there was a shooting star, streaking across the sky; but it's day! I saw something fall from it to the earth towards our house. Thank you, by the way! Do you need anything? Supplies? Tribute, perhaps? Or maybe a guide to the area?"
Reality Glitch: Both of them get looks of child-like wonder on their faces.
"Where did it fall?" Blue asks, absolutely giddy.
Reality Glitch: "Can you take us there?" Green adds, just as excited.
DetectiveCaillou: "I can show you!" A young boy comes running up behind the brother. "Uncle was already running towards the house, but I watched it keep flying!"
Reality Glitch: They both turn to the boy and in unison cry, "Yes! Yes! Yes!"
DetectiveCaillou: "Are you sure?" "Yeah! Dad still needs you to help in the fields, but this is something I can do!"
DetectiveCaillou: "Alright; you can find your own way back, right?" The father looks to you. "Make sure he stays safe. And if you wish to take him on as a follower of your master, make sure you come back and tell us." "Don't say that, or it'll really happen," mutters the wife. At least for this expedition, you've taken on a Young Guide [!]*.
Reality Glitch: They look a little saddened.
Blue speaks first, "We're out here because our dungeon master has passed."
Reality Glitch: Green adds, "Their dying wish was for us to find treasure they'd hidden somewhere."
DetectiveCaillou: "Ah... Well, I hope you find it. And I suppose that explains why there are so many dungeon monsters on the prowl out in the open..."
DetectiveCaillou: ("Yeah, didn't that guy use to control the whole area?")
DetectiveCaillou: With that, they wish you well and see you off.
DetectiveCaillou: (And now it's time to roll again. Would you say that was more Friendly or Aggressive? On one hand, you helped those people, but on the other, it ended up being a physical challenge.)
Reality Glitch: !f 3 (Agressively Attack the expedition)

DetectiveCaillou: Expedition: Find a Lead On the Dungeon Master's Last Will!
Progress: [=>][=>][=>][=>][=>][=>]
Destination: Scene 1/1
Reality Glitch: ((Is there any bonus for shifts beyond the requirement to full the track?))
DetectiveCaillou: (Not really? Anyway, ready for the final conflict?)
Reality Glitch: ((Yeah!))
DetectiveCaillou: The next day (after a brief camp), the boy continues to lead you in... well, the general direction of where he saw the shooting star fall, in a fairly faithful straight line (even cutting through a few farmsteads), until you finally see smoke wafting from the forest up ahead. Arriving on the scene, you see a wide clearing, the trees blasted into leaning away from its center, where some sort of metal boat is half-buried. This could be the lead you were looking for... whatever it is!
Reality Glitch: After second of giggling at the sight of it, they immediately take off into the crater to inspect it....with gelatinous thoroughness.
DetectiveCaillou: It's sealed up pretty tight, except for a warped door behind the right wing (it looks like a wing, and one might as well call it as they see it). Assuming you got which end is the back-end right. There are words painted on the side that you can't read. The boy is watching warily from the crater's edge.
Reality Glitch: Completely engrossed in their escapade, they slide in through the gaps between the door and the rest of the ship.
DetectiveCaillou: And yuuuuup, those are some dead bodies. If you knew what seatbelts were, you could say that the human and... bird... person(?) in front of you certainly didn't have enough time to get strapped in before this metal boat thing apparently crashed into the earth. There are red lights and annoying alarms beeping in the background, but through that, you can hear someone groaning from an adjacent room dirt-ward.
Reality Glitch: While Green investigates the area surrounding the corpses (already dead bodies don't really phase those who fight to the death with adventurers), absolutely fascinated by the architecture and the board with various colored, light-up buttons, Blue makes their way into the room the voice emanated from.
DetectiveCaillou: Green: Mostly more symbols and letters you don't recognize. The door leading into the back-end of the ship opens automatically, causing a cat person(???) to fall into your room dead, the box that crushed her stopping stuck in the door.
Blue: There's another human in this room; this one strapped into the captain's(?) chair and sporting the same weird uniform that the others had. He coughs; "May... dey... Is some-cough... Is... there?" He's too weak to turn his head and look at you.
Reality Glitch: Green slithers past the box to check out what's in the room with it.
Blue gives a shocked gasp; "Don't worry! I'll get you out of that death chair!" She then starts trying to rip the strangely tough and funny-tasting fabric strap out of the chair while dissolving it to hasten the process.
DetectiveCaillou: Green: It's mostly big weird crates that don't have any seems. Oh, one has a weird panel that still... light's up? Huh. It doesn't seem like you can figure out all these weird touch-buttons on your own. You keep getting blinking red and angry buzz noises.
Blue: "Alien slime... This... how I die... huh?" You eventually gnaw him free. "Oof- AGH!" And he drops unceremoniously on his back against the glass (that has to be glass) window (showing only a cracked view of a lot of dirt). "Who-!"
Reality Glitch: Green just has to know what the buttons do. It's like their shiny light are beckoning him.
((Compelling their trouble to open the container and release something .... unpleasant. (Maybe even their rival.)))
"Alien?" Blue huffs, "I'm from around these parts, y'know." She then reaches down and helps them up. "Real question is 'What happened here?', foreigner."
DetectiveCaillou: (Already have a plan for the Rival, and you won't be opening that unless Green has a knack for guessing passwords despite not knowing what the "enter" key is. You could still compel it as them getting distracted and leaving Blue to deal with what's coming on his own.)
Reality Glitch: ((Sure.))
DetectiveCaillou: "Oh, 'kay... cough... There was a systems malfunction. Catastrophic failure. Had t' make a crash landing. Did... Did anyone else make it?"
Reality Glitch: Blue's expression mimics distraught; "You're the first we found still moving."
DetectiveCaillou: You eventually make it out into the main room; the scene of carnage. "... Ah... Didn't know 'em very well, hired them fer this... but they were good crew... Damn..." You eventually ram the door down and make it out of the ship, to the surprise of one.
"Ah-! I wasn't aware my prize had inhabitants!" On top of the ship is a barely clad and well-built kobold (despite his height) with bright red scales and an ornately decorated spear. He jumps down. "Who are you?!"
Reality Glitch: As they reach the door, Blue slides through without hesitation, before noticing they weren't followed. sticking half-way back in, they gesture for the captain. "Come on!" Then realization plasters itself all over their face as they say "Oh; right; your a solid." and slips the rest of the way in and slams their body into the door, taking a small handful of tries before it falls out.
Reality Glitch: Once she hears the kobold and they drop down, she gives another one of those moe "Haaaa\~\~!"'s and almost faceplants dropping down to give them one big GLOMP of a hug. "You are are just. The. Cutest! Eeee\~\~!"
DetectiveCaillou: "WHAT! Get away! I'm not cute! As Jacobi Checomode, strongest kobold warrior of the basin Reptile Dungeon, commands you, lowly slime!" You do recognize the name of the dungeon this guy hails from; it's another one of your former master's.
Now that the strange man is outside and getting some fresh air, he's working his arm bracer and muttering into it (barely audibly): "SOS, this is the pilot of the E.S.C.S. Mongoose speaking... We've crash-landed. I'm the only survivor, presently in the company of locals on-site; likely from the 'dungeons' founded by those escapees if their artificial-looking biological makeup is any indicator... Follow the distress beacon."
Reality Glitch: Another surprised inhalation; "I'm from the Amorth-." She let's go, looking a little upset. "A-mor-phous. Dungeon! We have the same dungeon master!"
DetectiveCaillou: "... So it would seem!" Jacobi backs up further, taking on a more cold hostility.
"... Confirmed; definitely from the dungeons. At least one of them is helping me, though. Advise caution, and potentially prepare to extract more than one..." He clicks his armband off. "There we go, message sent."
Reality Glitch: "We should team up!" She stands up, striking a truimphant pose, with one arm crooked towards the sky. "We could find D.M.'s inheritance even faster!"
DetectiveCaillou: "... That's stupid. How can more than one champion claim the title and riches for their dungeon?!"
"Ah- One of them died? I'll have to tell the Explorers' Society about that... An 'inheritance' would certainly prove interesting. What were the details of that?" The human continues, seeming ignored by the monsters in front of him.
Reality Glitch: "Because," she sayd to Jacobi, "that last line in the will said 'Seven keys, bear open seven locks. Seven stars together form a clock. Bring with you two of every seed from which have sprouted your greatest deeds. To whom who reaches under the horizon, they shall claim the winning prize in.' They never said anything about only one." A moment of clarity dawns on her false face. "****! Singular 'they'!"
DetectiveCaillou: "Seven... That must be the clockwork constellation. Makes sense, considering where these 'dungeon masters' actually came from..."
Reality Glitch: She turns to the human; "You know where it is? How'd you figure it out?"
DetectiveCaillou: "It's a fairly well-known landmark," he points up at the sky, "up there, in the galaxy. Ah- There it is!" He spots a small dot moving around in the sky. "The Explorers' Society is here to pick me up." He glances at a curious Gooboline and a very confused Jacobi. "How about it? Interference protocol doesn't apply to you since you're technically artificial lifeforms created by a foreign entity, so I guess I could introduce you guys. Maybe even get you a reward for rescuing me?"
Reality Glitch: ((I thought it was the day?))
Reality Glitch: ((Then again, time has past since they first set out.))
DetectiveCaillou: (Yeah, it's the day after the burning house incident.)
Reality Glitch: "Sure!" She gives a closed-eyed smile so sweet she could be mistaken for living molasses, before turning inquisitive. "Wait; where's Slimuel?"
((And that's when Jacobi strikes, right?))
DetectiveCaillou: "'Share'? If I am to travel the very stars to find my prize, I need all the aide I can garner!" He thrusts his spear, poking Gooboline in the back. "I'm sure you are the same, so we'll settle it like true monsters!" It doesn't seem like he's backing down!
(Want to handle the battle now, or should we do a quicksave and pause?)
Reality Glitch: ((Right now is fine with me if you're up for it.))
DetectiveCaillou: (It's 10:42pm on my end, 18 minutes until my self-imposed curfew...)
Reality Glitch: ((Quicksave, then; I don't think this can be wrapped up in eighteen minutes.))
