- Bella:
- I don't see how anyone could sleep heavy in this city," she said with a shrug, pulling the gilded-colored jacket back over her shoulders. 2023 was before her time too, only a few years younger than Romero. At the tail end of the Time of Red,. Regardless seeing Rome and Error step out of the car she'd give them a smile. "Not an issue, grown used to having guests." Plus the people Rome brought over were always a treat, from Markus the mad nomad.. To this crew.. some of which were bonafide legends. "Though I should maybe buy the place behind mine and expand it into a meeting room." Hidden, of course, but that was a future problem for future Bella to deal with. "Always a pleasure to meet an associate of Romero's." The ripperdoll spoke moving out of the doorway allowing everyone inside. The clinic itself was small, but Bella move some of her equipment aside to give them ample room to talk. "Of course, error, and should you or any of you need upgrades or medical service, I'd be more than happy to oblige." She couldn't help, but look towards david "I can't say I'm not curious myself."
- Rome:
- Snacks and drinks? Panam was prepared for this, planning meetings in the Corporate world consisted of imported coffee and top quality synth-coke, maybe donuts for one one choom going cold turkey. This though? It was on par with the street life, not exactly living it up in the Afterlife and planning there but this was just as good. "You're welcome, I look after my people." Was David 'his people'? If they were working together? Yes, same as Error, Panam and V, their expenses if needed would be paid for. This Solo lives by a strict work code and does his damn hardest to live by it. "Got a few things to hash out." Romero said as he stepped inside the clinic, very familiar sight to him, been operated and chipped in many times here. Once everyone was inside and the door was shut, Romero found somewhere to lean up against, getting a decent view of everyone. "I appreciate you guys making it, we'll be on to the gig real soon but first..." He wasn't subtle this time as he directed his gaze to David, cool and collected with his tone carrying an odd assertiveness to it's monotonous edge. "Spoke to Viktor when I went to pay him and got the lowdown on your condition. It's hard for a Ripper to want to keep your secrets under wraps when you try to lie to their face." Not at all mad or disappointed or angry, just stating it as it is; a gonk move, but not one they couldn't move past. "I know your case and all but it might be time to be real with us."
- Error:
- Error stared for a moment at the ruined bike and then glanced over at David, almost expecting him to blow his fuse. But nothing happened. Her attention drifted to the others after the welcoming nod. Followed the Ripperdoll and the rest inside the familiar clinic. She positioned herself not too far from Bella and Malone as those were the two people she knew best in the room and trusted them enough. Heck, Bella already done some work on her. Error leaned against the wall with a cup of coffee in hand and waited for the Mafioso to begin to talk. Her own eyes fixed on David, the wildcard. She still had her doubts, though knowing it was the Vik who examined him, eased her nerves a bit. Error immediately turned to eye Malone. The kid lied to a ripperdoc? She didn't even try to hide her disappointment. Clicked her tongue and shook her pink head. A gonk move. She pointed index finger at Malone, saying he got a good point without words. Eyes glued on David's face and spoke up. "We can't trust you, if you're planning on being dishonest with us. We need to know so we can help you."
- Panam:
- Panam toted the food bag into the room and sat it down before stepping outside with a finger raised. "One moment." When V's car rolled up, she went digging into it and retrieved the rifle she had given him during the time he was going through it. She looked over the specs, the finish, and the amount of upgrades he poured into it. "Heh.. He cares. Interesting." She expected it to end up on a wall, a display for memories sake. But, no, he used it and made sure it received lots of care and attention. Putting the rifle across her shoulders, she stepped back inside and opened the cooler that she knew V would've sat down already. Out came beers that she started passing around, nice and chilled. "Romero's right. Look, you know my reservations about you, kid. Thing is, if you're going to lie to the man working on you.. How can we trust you? So, if you really want in on this gig, you're going to have to be honest with us. We're going to be relying on you, having our lives in your hands just like we'll have yours in ours. So, let's set the record straight and clear the air. Because if it happens again, you're out on your ass. No ifs, no ands, no buts." And that rifle, gleaming in the light, was the insurance policy that she would back it up. A turn to Bella. "Might.. Honestly, with what happened last night? I.. might be needing to talk to you later. Once we're done here, of course." She let out a low sigh.. She trusted Vik, but he was a man of many biases when it came to the people he cared about.
