- FUR FIGHTERS
- PC VERSION
- README v1.2
- 24th October 2000 - Version 1.2
- This patch fixes some issues with the text being displayed incorrectly in Spanish, French and German. It also corrects an incompatability when playing against the European version of the game in Fluffmatch.
- 18th October 2000
- This is Fur Fighters.....
- Brought to you on PC, by Bizarre Creations and Acclaim Entertainment. It's intended to be a glorious example of what legal fun can be had with small furry animals....please enjoy it and don't abuse it. Thanks.
- ********
- Please ensure that you have the latest direct X 7 drivers installed on your system before you play Fur Fighters, as this will ensure you can experience all the wonders the game has to offer.
- ********
- REQUIREMENTS
- PII 300,
- 32MB Ram,
- 16MB AGP 3D video card,
- Direct X compatible sound card,
- LAN or Internet connection for Fluffmatch play.
- ...obviously it'll run better on bigger machines...a PIII would help, more RAM and bigger graphics cards all help :)
- Fur Fighters supports the following technologies: Triple Buffer, 32bit Z Buffering, Bump Mapping, Dynamic Lighting, Trilinear Filtering, Transform and Lighting support, 32 bit rendering, texture compression and 3D & environmental audio.....so quite a lot of cool stuff really.
- KNOWN COMPATIBILITY ISSUES
- 1. The game will not load on Savage IV cards, this is a driver problem with the card and we are looking at ways to resolve this.
- 2. Dynamic lighting is only working on cards with T&L support (GeForce and Radeon) even though the option is available on all cards.
- 3. The version of GameSpy Arcade included on the CD is based on Beta7, however if you connect to Gamespy Arcade using the version included you will be prompted to install a newer version which should sort any issues out for you. If you want to play online without using GameSpy Arcade you can do so from the main game, using IP matching.
- 4. If you look on the CD, many drivers are included for supported video cards. If you cannot find your cards drivers on the CD, sorry, but you will have to get them off the net.
- 5. Even though the game says a 16MB AGP card is required we have found some lower spec cards do work, The Matrox G200 and ATi Rage pro cards (8MB AGP) seem to run the game OK. As these are below the required minimum spec, no support will be offered on these cards.
- Updates and information can be found at http://www.Furfighters.com & http://www.Acclaim.com. Each country has their own Tech Support details and services, checkout your Fur Fighters manual for actual details.
- GAMESPY ARCADE INFO
- We have provided GameSpy Arcade on the CD so that you can have a more user friendly way of playing Fur Fighters online. We wont go into the cool features here but if you are interested you should check out http://www.gamespyarcade.com. Any issues you have please contact GameSpy not us. From time to time the GameSpy Arcade version will be updated, this is usually to improve your gaming experience so don't get too narked!
- In GameSpy Arcade, unlike LAN or IP Matching multiplayer, you will not be able to choose your character or select 1st Person view before joining the game in the normal Fur Fighters way! However it can be done.....
- 1) Once Fur Fighters GameSpy has recognised you have Fur Fighters is installed, right click the Fur Fighters icon that will appear on the left hand side of your GameSpy Arcade screen.
- 2) Select the Options button and then Advanced options. In the space provided enter one of the appropriate command lines listed below......
- -firstperson
- -chang
- -roofus
- -bungalow
- -juliette
- -rico
- -tweek
- 3) For example, if you want to play as Bungalow and in first person view enter this -bungalow-firstperson. If you don't enter the -firstperson command in you will be put into the default 3rd person view.
