- Original Work: The video game DOFUS: www.dofus.com. DOFUS is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) created by our company Ankama. This game is downloadable on our website www.dofus.com. You can find more details about this game on our website, in particular on this page: http://www.dofus.com/en/mmorpg-free/dofus.
- The aforementioned websites (section “Infringing URLs”) offer to download private servers of our online game DOFUS.
- The creation of private servers assimilates to counterfeiting, parasitism and unfair competition and causes genuine damages to our company, which falls victim to the hijacking of its paying customers.
- Indeed, the creation of a private server requires the analysis of the data stream between the client (the player’s program) and the official DOFUS server. The authors, therefore, have modified the original DOFUS client in order to connect to the illegal server.
- The DOFUS game belongs to ANKAMA. The creation of a private server involves the implementation of the knowhow and development of ANKAMA’s DOFUS game.
- The authors of these private servers try to benefit from the fame and the reputation of our DOFUS brand and of our online game DOFUS.
- We have provided the name of your hosting provider to the reporter. Additionally, we have forwarded this complaint to your hosting provider as well.
