  3. Hello lady's and gents of the world, we are the loose net collective called Anonymous. It has come to our attention that the US is trying passs not one bill, but four bills that they are claiming will help increase cyber security. The brutal truth about these bill is that they will not increase security online, but rather increase the surveillance on the people. All of these bills are intended to violate your privacy online by sharing your information that is obtained by companies to the government. Everyone knows that Congress sometimes passes bad bills, but this time they have gone too far. When the government steps out of line, it is the responsibility of the citizens of the world to correct them.
  4.
  5. CISA, or more formally known as Cyber security Information Sharing Act, would allow companies to share any information they obtained on you such as picture on Inst a gram or personal chat logs about your love life on Facebook, with the government. It would also protect these companies from being sued, so there would be no chance to get justice for them violating your rights. The N S A and FBI would have a field day with all your information and could use it for whatever they see fit. This would allow a free and open exchange of your personal information.
  6.
  7. The next cyber surveillance bill trying to be passed is PCNA, or more formally known as Protecting Cyber Networks Act. It would allow companies to give information over to the government and prevent the companies from being sued. Sounds familiar, doesn't it? That is because it is almost exactly the same as the CISA bill. The government wants this bill passed so badly that they made another one of it, at the same time. They even made it an act, which is suppose to be a completely new law. So why would CISA be a bill? Would it be because they are trying all angles to pass this into a law?
  8.
  9. The next quote on quote cyber security bill, CTSA, Cyber Threat Sharing Act, is exactly as the name sounds. It would allow sharing of any information, including personal, with the government even if there is no existing law that states it is legal to do. It would allow companies to give personal information directly to the FBI.. It would also allow the government to sweep aside your privacy legal protection at any time and force your information to be handed over to them. This is quite possibly the worst of the four bills, due to how vaguely it is written and at how it targets your privacy rights. This is also the bill that is passing the fastest through Congress. Coincidence?
  10.
  11. The final bill is NCPA, or National Cyber security Protection Advancement Act, is a deceitful bill. This is because the bill states that it would limit the government shared information to only "cyber security crimes", but due to the vague language used, they cant relate cyber security crimes to nearly anything, such as using your phone while driving, because you are breaking the law while using the internet. At this point, the government would be allowed to obtain personal information on you that can be found online. This bill, which tired to act like it limits the government, simply is another tool used to spy on you.
  12.
  13. If you do not believe us, then we would encourage you to read the bills yourself. In fact, we encourage everyone to read the bills. This is because everyone is free to make their own judgment for what is a good or bad bill. However, a fair warning is that you will reach the same conclusion as us. These bills are not meant to be used to spy on us.. That is why you are only hearing of them now.
  14.
  15. As you can see, these bills clearly will harm everyone in a negative way. If you simply use social media, like the majority of the population, then the government can obtain any information you post, whether it is public or private. Even if you think the government already obtains and has all of your personal information, this would allow it to be legal, which means it would hold up in a court of law and could not sue if you find proof of them doing so.. No matter who you are, and what your beliefs are, this bill will violate them.
