After he served the "mandated" two terms and did as little as possible, the shitweeds and faghippies re-voted for Jerry "We Want To Steal Your Water" Brown, who served two MORE terms. - LA Fires: 10 Dead, 9,000 Structures Destroyed, 20,000 Acres Burned Up

- The scenes out of LA are apocalyptic.
- The media has reported that gays in LA are responsible, though this has not been officially confirmed.
- LA Times:
- Officials said Thursday that at least 10 people were killed and more than 9,000 homes, businesses and other buildings appeared to have been damaged or destroyed in the Palisades and Eaton fires.
- Around 5,300 of these structures were destroyed in the Palisades fire, while another 4,000 to 5,000 structures were estimated to be damaged or destroyed in the Eaton fire burning in the Altadena area.
- Officials made the estimate using aerial infrared technology and stressed that it was a preliminary number. If accurate, it would place the firestorm among the worst in Los Angeles history in terms of property damage.
- “The Palisades fire is one of the most destructive natural disasters in the history of Los Angeles,” said Los Angeles Fire Chief Kristin Crowley.
- At a morning news conference, L.A. County Fire Chief Anthony Marrone said growth of the Eaton fire had been “significantly stopped.” At 3:30 p.m., however, he announced that the fire had grown by more than 3,000 acres — to 13,690 acres — as it spread toward the historic Mt. Wilson area with 0% containment.
- Don Fregulia, an operations section chief with the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, said efforts to protect Mt. Wilson had proved successful and he expected that to remain the case.
- “We’re actively engaged there,” Fregulia said. “We’re feeling good about what we have to do up there tonight to keep that site secure.”
- The Palisades fire grew from around 17,200 acres Thursday morning to 19,978 acres Thursday evening, at which time the blaze was 6% contained, according to fire officials.
- And on Thursday afternoon a new blaze, dubbed the Kenneth fire, ignited in Woodland Hills and quickly spread to around 1,000 acres.
- A lot of right-wingers are blaming “woke” for these fires.
- While I think that is extreme, as no fire department would be able to stop fires this big with any efficiency and I think the issue has to do with forest management policies, it is notable that the people in charge are all lesbian women.
- You don’t really get things done with lesbians. They’re not really a very competent group.
- Maybe that’s what the media meant when they blamed “gay people in LA”?
- Regardless, the basic reality is that if you don’t manage the forests, if you don’t prune the trees and remove the fallen trees and limbs and the leaves and crap, natural forest fires will start and they cannot be contained.
- The forest is designed to burn regularly. That is what forests do. If you want to prevent massive fires, you can’t just put out small fires and do nothing else, as this allows the conditions for fires to build and build until you get these huge ones.
- If you want to do “naturalism,” then you can’t put out the small fires. You have to just let those burn and run their course.
- But proper forest management techniques are more than 100 years old, and it is inexplicable that California cannot implement them.

- Colias croceus, also known as the clouded yellow, is a small butterfly of the family Pieridae, the yellows and whites. Its breeding range is North Africa and southern Europe and eastwards through Turkey into the Middle East, but it occurs throughout much of Europe as a summer migrant, sometimes as far north as Scandinavia. In Asia, its range extends into central Siberia in the north and barely into India in the south, although it is not found in Central Asia. The species can live in any open area in the countryside, including downland, coastal cliffs and fields containing the caterpillar's host plants, at an elevation up to 1,600 metres (5,200 ft) above sea level. Colias croceus has a wingspan of 46–54 millimetres (1.8–2.1 in), with the upperside of its wing being golden to orange yellow with a broad black margin on all four wings and a black spot near the centre forewing.
