- Disclaimer: My understanding is that an ideal faction trait is not applicable in all cases, but applicable in at least some. As in, there should be some builds for at least one affinity that do not want a trait, and likewise for those that do. If a trait is wanted in all cases, it is overpowered/undercosted, and vice versa.
- Anomalies:
- Mineral Rich is the #1 anomaly by a fair margin for most builds. It could probably do with a bump to 6-8.
- Space Battles:
- Spray 'n Pray gives an egregious amount of points for its actual impact. EvasionDisorientationModifier completely nullifies the impact of accuracy modifiers unless the fight is between two scouts. To my knowledge, three levels of Spray 'n Pray says 'for 15 faction points, I will miss 3 times more per phase (not round) in every fight'. When I'm firing 10+ weapons on 10+ ships in a fight, 3 more misses is a <5% damage loss for 15 faction points. Compare to Humane Weapons. As a sidenote I think EvasionDisorientationModifier's current implementation is dumb because of this :P. Offense First is also a strong pick but it's not nearly as egregious as Spray 'n Pray.
- Heroes:
- Dust Impaired and Sloppy Sawbones are taken by every person I know on every faction, but their gains are already small. Just a note.
- Diplomacy:
- Since the Diplomatic victory is the only completely nonviable victory type, Amoeba (and by extension the positive traits under Diplomacy) are pretty weak.
- You guys have done a great job on making the vast majority of traits interesting and balanced. Changing Mineral Rich and Spray 'n Pray will do nothing but help this situation.
