Twakese stood near the shallow crater. She could tell by the set of his shoulders he wasn't pleased that there wasn't a corpse. Ak'kili wedged herself into the fissure so she'd have both of her arms free. Ak'kili drew her smart disc and threw it as hard as she could. She watched it speed through the air in a graceful arc that was high enough Twakese wouldn't see it until was too late. Her disc struck Twakese in the chest plate, making him bellow. The disc didn't sink in deep enough to kill him. Twakese's chest plate was too strong for it to penetrate.
