Outdoor recreation provides a variety of ways for people to be physically active, socialize, build relationships, spend time together as a family, and learn new skills and abilities. It also improved outcomes for cardiovascular health, obesity, stress-related illness, and mental health. Furthermore, since there are so many activities to choose from and anyone can find something they enjoy doing in the great outdoors. It is also beneficial for the growth and development of the physical and mental well-being of an individual. Spending time outdoors means going outside the enclosed setting to a natural space where they can take their time to discover new things about the surrounding environment. Outdoor recreation also helps support the economy and drives awareness of important environmental issues. Like being responsible for the use of public lands which helps make people care about what happens to these places.

- Our planet is currently in the midst of a massive environmental crisis. Throughout the last few decades, our environment has been subjected to numerous threats. Even though nature provides essential resources for our survival and enjoyment, conserving nature is really about protecting our future. We tend to forget how utterly dependent we are on the natural environment. In order to conserve and protect our own environment, we must learn and plan something. However, we've seen a steady decline in the quality of the environment around us as a result of the sudden surge in urbanization. Humans rely on water, air, and other natural resources for everything from drinking to breathing. In fact, it's important to remember that many of the foods we eat come from animals or plants in our environment around us, such as milk, eggs, and a variety of vegetables.
