SUBJECT: Threat from nonhuman sentient species
The Competitive Intelligence Department (CID) has obtained information from Chigusa Corporation regarding a dangerous sentient race known as "Hunters." This species appears to hunt for sport. Prey includes humans, and predatory species of sufficient size and ferocity to predate human adults. Hunters appear to have interstellar ships with abilities beyond every known military state-of-the-art technology. Hunter ships may possess advanced stealth capabilities allowing them to enter planetary atmospheres undetected and
remain undetected even when landing a few kilometers from settlements or facilities. Unverified reports claim that Hunters are humanoid, 210 to 243 centimeters tall, weigh approximately 200 kilograms, and are substantially stronger than a typical human. Reports also include mentions of advanced camouflage, as well as lethal ranged weaponry. However, most reports indicate Hunters prefer to kill using hand-to-hand or thrown weaponry. The assumption is that close-in killing requires more hunting skill than taking down prey at a distance.

If Hunters exist, it is highly improbable that staff will encounter the species. If one should be spotted in or near a company facility or vessel, however, the following protocol must be followed:
The species hunts for sport; the less of a threat you present, the higher your chances of survival.
● Do not aim weapons of any kind at a Hunter. If you have weapons, discard them.
● If you encounter one in person, do not run. Doing so may establish you as prey.
● Lie prone with hands and feet outstretched.
● Tactical units are exempt from these instructions, and should instead follow Protocol 342-B.-pg.403-404 chpt.15
