"Got it!" Tank shouted as she stood up and aimed for the building.

"Don't destroy the spaceport!" Flucher shouted.

She ignored him. Tank's shot hit something just above the roof of the spaceport, and for a moment Cali saw an outline of a humanoid. Much larger than even Tank, in some kind of armor, with what looked like weird dreadlocks coming out a strange gun
of the helmet, clawed hands and feet, that looked a tiny bit like their laser rifles. The figure also looked feminine Cali was sure she saw the outline of breasts, a smaller waist, and slightly wider hips. Then the image was gone. And, as soon as it was, something fired directly at Tank.-pg.221-222 chpt.9

The largest ooman in the front group stood and fired directly at her with a weapon that gave off much heat. La'vindi was hit, but the weapon, big or not, was no match for her armor, though it did affect it some-she felt electricity crackle all around her. But it was over quickly. She aimed her plasmacaster calmly and fired several times in succession-oomans also had armor, though it was nothing compared to their own. However, she'd learned on her first, failed Hunt that armored oomans usually took at least two shots to kill.

Her shots were on target, hitting the body in rapid succession. The gun her target was holding went off once more. La'vindi avoided the shot by leaping off the building and landing next to her now downed target, in the middle of the clutch of oomans. She chose to follow Hekkati's example, so put her foot onto the downed ooman's still moving body, grabbed the head, and pulled. The ooman's dying scream was cut off quickly and La'vindi leapt for the trees before the other oomans could react.-pg.223-224 chpt.9
