Windows Millenium Edition Installer Patch

README v1.0 - 8th November 2000



PATCH INFORMATION

This patch will allow you to install Fur Fighters PC on your Windows Millenium Edition system.

The installation program that Fur Fighters PC ships with is not compatible with Windows ME, so in order that you can enjoy Fur Fighters on this Operating System we've given you this patch.

If you received an error on attempting an installation "The operating system is not adequate for running Fur Fighters PC." then this is the patch for you.

INSTALLATION DETAILS

a) Copy the root contents of the Fur Fighters PC CD into an empty directory on your hard drive. (If you don't know what this means just copy the entire contents of the CD into the directory - just trying to save you some HD space).

b) Copy the contents of the "FF_WinME_install.zip" (contains 4 files) into the same directory, it will ask you do you want to over-write 3 of the files, say Yes to each request.

c) Next start the Installation by double-clicking on setup.exe in the directory on the hard drive.

d) It should now install without issue.

e) When it's finished delete the contents of the directory, because it is no longer required.

Windows Millenium Edition
PII 300,
32MB Ram,
16MB AGP 3D video card,
Direct X compatible sound card,
LAN or Internet connection for Fluffmatch play.
Direct X 7a (available on installation)


KNOWN ISSUES WITH THIS WinME PATCH:

None that we know of but this patch is really only for Windows Millenium Edition users, any other Operating System users should use the original installer on the Fur Fighters PC CD.
