- 1. Start Subnautica.
- 2. Copy the build number from the top right corner of the main menu to notepad.
- 3. Navigate to your save game, e.g. "G:\Steam\steamapps\common\Subnautica\SNAppData\SavedGames\slot0000"
- 4. Open "gameinfo.json".
- Edit the "changeSet" number with the new build number, e.g. modify [changeSet":40659] to [changeSet":40797]
- 5. Start Subnautica.
- Press F1
- Write down "Camera batch #"'s as you swim around the perimeter of your base.
- 6. Close Subnautica.
- 7. In the slot0000 folder (or whatever savegame slot you are modifying) delete all the "batch-objects-XX-XX-XX.txt" files except those with the base batch #'s.
- 8. In the "CellsCache" folder delete all the "baked-batch-cells-XX-XX-XX.bin" files except those with the base batch #'s.
- 9. In the "CompiledOctreesCache" folder delete all the "compiled-batch-XX-XX-XX.optoctrees" files except those with the base batch #'s.
- 10. Start Subnautica.
- 11. Save the game to save the new terrain data.
