- The price of a website can vary. I have base prices on my homepage but sometimes the cost may be higher depending on the amount of hours that it will take to develop the website. Sometimes there are extra costs such as purchasing hosting, domain names, images etc. Do not be fooled by some of the “Web Design” companies you see on Google or Facebook who offer full website packages for €150. If you buy a website package for that much then expect 150 problems to go with it!
- Often these websites are just thrown together or they are themes which are purchased and never customised. These web design companies churn out cheap websites and none of the websites have character or work behind them. The customer support from these companies can also leave a lot to be desired.
- Information based websites which don’t have content management systems are usually cheaper than their counterparts. A content management system gives you the ability to log in to you website and add pages, text, images etc. An example of a content management system which I use a lot is WordPress. It is user friendly and easy to learn. I offer WordPress training packages to my WordPress customers after the website is developed. This gives them the freedom to further customise the content and layout of the website if they wish to do so. An information based website typically consists of 7-8 pages and most the time I do not user WordPress to create these kinds of websites. If you still want to use WordPress then this can be included in your quotation.
- If you would like to know more about how much a website costs to design in Ireland, then send me a message or give me a call and I would love to discuss your project with you.
