  1. Your motivation letter for this activity
  2.
  3. BEGIN TRANSMISSION.......
  4.
  5. To: Moldova Strategy HQ
  6.
  7. Subject: Chisinau Battlefield Report
  8.
  9. Date: August 27 2091
  10.
  11. Commanders,
  12.
  13. Our Intel reports show that the enemy is advancing toward Chisinau! We have gained info that they plan to seize all of Moldova's mamaliga and take it back to their HQ.
  14.
  15. In order to accomplish our mission and defend Chisinau, we must create a good tactical operation, using whatever code snippets and functions we have laying around. Our battalion has significant experience in that area and we have been using Unity3D to work on different tactics for the past 2 years. Any additional supplies, including sarmale, will be needed!
  16.
  17. I suggest that we get the enemy drunk in the Cricova winery as they near the main city gates, before ambushing them near Patria (a good movie.bik for celebration afterwards is always an option).
  18.
  19. We have arranged to send over our BEST operative in order to survey the terrain, exchange tactics, food and drink supplies with local Moldavian operatives, as well as gain new knowledge from the local HQ on the specified operations at hand.
  20.
  21. We await your immediate response,
  22.
  23. Pentru victorie!
  24.
  25. END TRANSMISSION......
  26.
  27. Activity specific questions
  28.
  29. Name and describe 3 game styles.
  30.
  31. We train for:
  32.
  33. - The 'Point and Click' warfare, where precision with the mouse over specified targets is crucial for mission accomplishment.
  34.
  35. - The 'Strategies', where we have a birds eye view of the battlefield, giving us a tactical advantage over the enemy, since they don't have birds eyes.
  36.
  37. - The 'GUNS BOMBS EXPLOSION SHOOT KABOOM' tactic. Not very useful or efficient, but very cool indeed.
  38.
  39. If you are designer - pixels or vector? colors or monotone? sprites or composite images??
  40.
  41. If you are programmer - JavaScript? Asynchronous programming? IDE or text editor? Convention over configuration or vice versa??
  42.
  43. Our commandeer has enforced the flowing rules:
  44.
  45. - JavaScript, so I don't need to remember what I keep in my 'vars' (and so that '1'+'2'=12 and '1'-'2'=-1).
  46.
  47. - Asynchronous FTW, no need for specific functions clogging up the game's realtime flow.
  48.
  49. - IDE! Code snippets, syntax highlighting, auto-completion... (maybe even real-time compiler errors?)
  50.
  51. How do you spend weekend nights?
  52.
  53. Apart from normal activities like hunting unicorns with fellow comrades, we tend to drink Indian tee with rum, do LAN/code parties and learn to tango & cha-cha. Once we even tried to make pancakes...tried.
