	Plants need five things in order to sustain growth such as sunlight, proper temperature, moisture, air, and nutrients. These five things are provided by the natural or artificial environments where the plants live. If any of these elements are absent, the plant's ability to develop will be hindered.  Plants meet their needs in different ways in different environments due to the availability of resources varies from one ecosystem to another.  Like all living things, plants have fundamental needs that must be addressed in order to survive.

As a result, inside an organism, some sort of system is required to transport the necessary substances, ensuring that they reach every cell and part of the body.

	The structures help these parts to perform their function by knowing their own job in order to sustain life itself. In plants, it is simply a matter of transporting water and minerals to the other areas of the body. The food created in leaves must also be transferred to other areas of the plants. As a consequence, plants require an internal transport system to provide nutrients, oxygen, water, etc to all of their cells.

The current plant biotechnology tools aid in the improvement of crops for human health, and improve life in an urban environment by developing new strains of plants that can be produced in a broader range of environments, offer better rotations to save natural resources, provide more nutritious harvested products that preserve much longer in storage and transportation, and continue low-cost food supplies to people. Additionally, due to agricultural modernization, developed countries are reaping the advantages while those people in developing and undeveloped nations are suffering from hunger, malnutrition, and poverty. As a consequence, new policies are needed to ensure that biotechnology breakthroughs be used to improve agricultural techniques that can fulfill the ever-growing food demand.
