  1. Prediction model of flow velocity in a vegetative channel is developed using ML.
  2. Multiple datasets are used to demonstrate the superiority of our approach.
  3. Ensemble ML methods outperform standalone M5P, Random Tree (RT) methods.
  4. Height of vegetation is the most effective parameter in flow velocity prediction.
  5. CC value of 0.977 and MSE as low as 0.003 is attained for the AR-M5P model.
