- A precise figure on the membership of the Grey Wolves in Germany is not known. The North Rhine-Westphalian Office for the Protection of the Constitution spoke of approximately 7,000 members nationwide in 2015 - although this only referred to the Türk Federasyon, one of three umbrella organizations. The estimate of more than 18,000 takes into account all three umbrella organizations. In 2015, a ZDF research team spoke of 303 member associations of the three umbrella organizations in Germany "with at least 18,500 members." Cf. Anna Feist/Herbert Klar/Steffen Judzikowski: Webstory "Graue Wölfe. Eine Chronologie der stillen Macht," ZDF online, May 26, 2015 - http://webstory.zdf.de/graue-woelfe/ - It should be noted that an informal movement like the "Gray Wolves" has a significant number of other sympathizers and supporters in addition to formal association members.
