As soon as the city hall and the churches were destroyed, Baragon leaped forward, searching for more prey. His leap covered three city blocks.

This time the creature came down near the Exxon gas station at the edge of town. The ground beneath Baragon caved in under its tremendous bulk. The gas tanks ruptured and spewed flammable liquids all over the street.

As the gas ignited, flames and golf the angry mutant reptile. The creature roared in pain and rage and leaped again. Baragon landed in the middle of the truck stop parking lot. Dozens of tractor-trailers were idling there there, their drivers inside the diner enjoying Sunday breakfast. The vehicles were scattered their content spilled out all over the interstate highway.

Baragon slammed into the restaurant next. The walls collapsed, and mangled customers writhed in the rubble.

Baragon began a breakfast feast of its own....
