Vilgax sword

Anti opened his mouth again and prepared another blast.

Vilgax's sword was in his hand and just barely drew in time to split the second beam, one that laid waste to even further pastures beyond him. This time there was no break to reload. Another bolt of landscape-ravaging energy burned out, and another, each one more powerful than the last. After the fifth deflection his trusty blade was dripping onto the ground uselessly. No matter. His Praetors were his swords, anyway. All he needed were his fists.
