On the third Sunday of January in Cebu City, Philippines hosts the Sinulog Festival. The festival commemorates and honors the vision of Jesus Christ as a child known as Santo Niño. Apart from being a religious festival, Sinulog has also acted as a platform for the Cebuanos' distinctive talent and creativity, as participants provide breathtaking performances and a wonderful celebration that continues to capture the hearts of locals and foreign tourists. This year, due to the rising surge of the pandemic and the calamity we face, many of the traditions of this celebration have been postponed. Even if we face many challenges in life, the Cebuanos’ still attend novenas, masses and honor Santo Niño in their homes and chapels. With an overwhelming number of visitors eager to witness the traditional celebration and the beauty of the culture it portrays, this great event, together with the stunning beaches and historical sites, are Cebu's treasured attractions.
