- Loosely speaking: much of what's in [URL='https://www.freshports.org/']FreshPorts[/URL] can be found through [URL='https://www.trueos.org/handbook/sysadmclient.html#appcafe']AppCafe[/URL]. If a port is in FreshPorts but not in AppCafe, it's usually easy to perform a command-line installation.
- On the rare occasions when I require Microsoft Office: I use a Windows-based computer in a nearby office.
- Once (probably on a Mac) I watched something with Amazon Video that required Microsoft Silverlight. If Amazon Video becomes a habit, I'll use [URL='https://www.freshports.org/emulators/pipelight']Pipelight[/URL] – and of all the things that I tested with PC-BSD, Pipelight was probably the most difficult to install.
