FireStick TV Setup Part 1

FireStick TV Setup Part 1:

1A.) Go into settings, click “My Fire TV” scroll down to and select “Developer Options”.
Once there; Go to “Apps From Unknown Sources” and turn the setting on.

1B.) Some FireTV devices do not have developer options automatically set. You may have to manually turn it on.
To do this;
1.) Click ‘My Fire TV’
2.) Click on ‘About’
3.) Click on the name of your device 7 times (FireTV Stick 4K, for example) until you see “No need, you are already a developer.”


2.) Go into settings, click “Preferences”, “Privacy Settings” and turn off:
“Device Usage Data”, Collect App Usage Data” and “Interest-based ads”.

3.) Optional: If you don’t like the scrolling sound when navigating through the menu, you can turn it off by going to ‘Display & Sounds’ click on ‘Audio’ and turn off ‘Navigation sounds.

4.) Recommended:
In “Preferences” go to “Featured Content” and turn off “Allow Video Auto-Play” and “Allow audio Auto-Play”.
While still in preferences, go to “Data Monitoring” and turn it off.

5.) Click the Home button and click over to “Find”.
Once there; Search for the third-party app installer “Downloader”.

6.) Once “Downloader is installed; Return to “My Fire TV”, “Developer Options”, “Install Unknown Apps” and turn on the setting for “Downloader” and click the Home button.
