Zombie's Discord: Application Tips

Hallo Alle,
I made up this quick little guide to help you guys know what to and what not to include in your application. I want people who are experienced and show it through their application, not clueless people who have never submitted an application before. If this helps, there are links at the end to show your support for my hard work typing up this post!

**Increasing your Chances**
It is easy to get into our staff team, as we don't have an age limit, don't require a voice interview like most professional discords, and will accept anyone into the intern position that we feel will make a positive impact on our Discord. There is no definitive way to increase your chances, but these tips should help us find your application much better and more promising:

1. Be truthful. We will know if you lie; I have a bot that can see how long you've been subbed to Zombie. If you lie about that we're going to automatically decline your application. It's better to tell the truth and not meet the cut, over lying and getting banned from submitting future applications. If you're a little short on the hours, we might even let you in. Just be truthful and see where it gets you!

2. Be professional. There is absolutely nothing that I hate more then seeing a rushed, grammar-less, typo crazed application. If you really care about the rank, you will spend time to get the rank and that's the end of it. Take your time, I've denied 5 applications solely because they have no grammar in them.

3. Be detailed about the last part. Everybody in this discord can ban people, everybody can delete spam messages. The thing we're primarily looking for is something that defines your abilities. Can you do something not many people can do to help the discord server improve? Have you had experience in staffing that may help you do better in the position? Spending time to elaborate off of that section will definitely increase your chances by 200%, I promise.

4. Don't bluff your stats. If you say you can moderate the discord for 12 hours a day, we expect you to be moderating the discord for 10-12 hours a day. It's not going to help, because what you say will be the verdict we base you on for future chances of moderator+. Be honest, which ties into rule 1, on your activity, time spent on Zombie's channel, etc. and I promise you that it will help you in the end!

**Didn't get the Rank?**
You'll be alerted in one of 2 ways if you get staff ranks:
1. a PM by me and zombie congratulating you and asking you a few more quick questions
2. welcoming into the staff chat which is hidden to regular players, by all the current staff.

If you didn't get it, don't worry! You can wait a month or so, and spend a bit more time on your application. Your chances may be higher because you've learned a ton off of this cheat sheet that wasn't existant before the first wave of applications came out!

You'll be alerted within 2 weeks if you get accepted. If you haven't been alerted yet, please contact a staff to see if they have checked your application and you will be told if it is accepted or declined. If you got declined, don't be sad! It's far from the end of the world. Put that head up high and keep on trying!
