Kalos-GM: Last time on spess nerds
Kalos-GM: the players entered a submerged spaceship that had a juryrigged radio mast attached to the top of it,
Kalos-GM: on the inside, the ship was partially ruined in its running parts
Kalos-GM: and there was someone who left a comms message that he sends out to the world and  put themself in cryo
Kalos-GM: Now they're imminently about to be revived and released from the Cyropods
Kalos-GM: Do any of you want to do anything before this happens.
Kalos-GM: Koshy gets plenty 'lost' looking through all of the various holes and stuff present on the inside of the ship. luckily the nanocomposite hull is holding up, though it seems a miracle looking at it now
Ely: _doesn't have anything to do, gets ready for the survivor_
Koshy: "Uh... Do we have a doctor with us?"
Kalos-GM: (paging <@!Grendel>  )
Ely: "Is our doctor drunk again."
Koshy: "We might need to rush this guy- Or girl- to the medbay..."
Eryn: _is relaxing on the party's ship, maxin' n' relaxin'_
Koshy: "How long is it going to take, Ely?"
Koshy: "I might be able to swim back to our ship and bring help back in that time."
Ely: _checks cryopod readout :B_
Kalos-GM: 5 minutes.
Ely: "It says five minutes, but I wouldn't trust all this machinery that much."
Koshy: "Well! I have no idea how to do medicine! I need an adult!" Koshy exclaims, as he rushes out, to swim back to the ship.
Kalos-GM: The light changes color, the screen now displaying- "Opening.."
Koshy: Is Koshy already too far away?
Ely: _watches Koshy scramble out with calm bug-eyes. Hopefully the person in the pod is fine, the only medicine he knows is not very pleasant!_
Kalos-GM: Koshy is cycling the airlock full of water
Koshy: Well, maybe he can be told that he is too late, don't know either way
Ely: We can't really communicate between ships, can we?
Kalos-GM: nope.
Ely: ...You should go tell Eryn what's up finally, lol
Koshy: But, which airlock he is in?
Kalos-GM: The pod, which lies on the floor has its doors split apart, revealing in the middle of it, a white furred, 4 armed, long tailed person- the spitting image of one of the planet's natives
Kalos-GM: Initially motionless, but a moment later their eyes open, and scan across the room- Soon seeing a giant buggo standing over them
Kalos-GM: Lying still where they are, they ask simply. "What year is it?"
Ely: (...what year *is* it?)
Kalos-GM: (2452)
Kalos-GM: they speak martian-avali, same language as the ship.
Ely: _reaches a hand out to help them up. "It's 2452. How did you learn to use the ship?"_
Kalos-GM: He pauses, looking at the extended arm, and takes it, starting to sit up, and then stand, before stepping out of the pod.
Kalos-GM: "It's my ship- How did you learn to use a space suit?"
Ely: "Aren't you from this planet? Everything we've seen indicated that they didn't have this kind of technology."
Kalos-GM: they shake their head. "I'm not from here at all-"
Kalos-GM: "I just look like them- kinda a disguise- Tell me- you have a ship that can get off this rock, right?"
Ely: _steps back, looking the person over! "I do. Came here to explore, wasn't expecting there to be so much of a history here. Why are you disguised?" Kind of suspicious now!_
Kalos-GM: "Because I'd be stuck here for a while- a hyperspace storm came around and it wrecked my ship, completely blew out everything important!"
Kalos-GM: "I landed here- and tried to see if I could get some help."
Kalos-GM: "Only it turns out they don't really know anything... and then they started dying off in droves a few years into my stay."
Ely: "Oh, I see. That is... Unfortunate. You may have brought the plague that killed this planet's population."
Kalos-GM: "I don't think so- that would have happened sooner right?" he sighs
Koshy: When do I get to get help?
Kalos-GM: You reach the other ship's airlock about now
Kalos-GM: and begin to cycle.
Kalos-GM: "Anyway, thanks for saving me- I'm Nina"
Kalos-GM: they look around the room- and start walking to a locker on one of the walls, opening it up to reveal a space biosuit vaguely in their size-
Kalos-GM: which they begin to put on/let configure around themselves. "Are.. Is this ship still under water?"
Ely: _shrugs, a bit exaggerated with bug arms. "Oh. I'm not actually a biologist. We're still underwater, my ship is floating above this one, swam through."_
Kalos-GM: (its actually at the bottom of the ocean with this one)
Kalos-GM: (20 yards off)
Ely: (Oh, okay. Still underwater though :B )
Kalos-GM: "Mind leading me? I don't think there's much of worth on this hulk anymore, especially after 60 years under the sea."
Ely: _is saddened at the loss of a ship... Somehow visible despite expressionless bugface. Nods and leads him to the airlock Koshy left through, hopefully the little critter won't come back confused to the empty vessel._
Kalos-GM: Koshy
Kalos-GM: you're into the main ship now
Kalos-GM: and can comm to Eryn

Kalos-GM: Pampaa and Grendel both seem busy in their labs or whatever.
Koshy: "EEEEEEEEEEEERYYYYN! WE FOUND A SURVIVOR! ELY WAS DEFROSTING HIM! HE MIGHT BE SICK! HE MIGHT BE CARRYING A DISEASE! HE IS ONE OF THE NATIVES! EEEEEEERYYYYYN! I NEED AN ADULT!"
Eryn: "...Koshy. You're on the comms. Use your inside voice, dear."
Koshy: "I can't use my inside voice! things are happening! I don't know medicine!"
Eryn: "Well, uh. I don't know medicine either."
Eryn: "At best I know some First Aid."
Koshy: "Then call someone! Get help! I don't know! Get Grendel! I'll go check on them!" Koshy says, before parting out again.
Kalos-GM: running back to the airlock?
Koshy: yes
Eryn: "...Not sure if I can Send out a good signal while we're underwater like this, but what the hell."
Koshy: (But where is Grendel?)
Eryn: (I was under the impression he went with you guys :V)
Koshy: (I have no idea)
Kalos-GM: meanwhile
Kalos-GM: Ely: heading back out with Nina?
Ely: Yep!
Kalos-GM: alright so then mid way in the water, Ely and Nina run into a little fish swimming at them
Kalos-GM: only its not a fish. it's Koshy
Ely: oh god I was about to say "attack"
Kalos-GM: Nina stares blankely at the 'fish'
Kalos-GM: (nina isn't on your comms network btw!)
Ely: _grabs Koshy, turns him around in the water so they're on the same course._
Kalos-GM: (you'll need to invite them)
Ely: (Oh right, gotta send those steam friend requests)
Koshy: "Hey! Hey! Wait! I'll go first and I'll get my cleaning supplies! You are not contaminating the ship I just cleaned! I will sterilize you in the airlock!"
Ely: _wonders if he should just leave Nina unconnected, so they don't have to worry about decontamination..._
Kalos-GM: they gesture, pointing forward at the other ship and look to Ely
Kalos-GM: and point a finger at Koshy and then to Ely
Kalos-GM: and look quizingly.
Eryn: _attempts to radio to any nearby ships/stations. Pretty much anything with medical personnel/facilities._
Koshy: _Koshy becomes more and more aggitated as they approach the ship "LET ME IN FIRST! LET ME IN FIRST! I HAVE TO CLEAN YOU SO YOU DON'T TRACK KILLING GERMS INTO THE SHIP!!!"_
Ely: _uses those amazing gesture skills. Points at Koshy and- wait, no, this is dumb. Just tries to connect to comms, since they're so close. "The small creature is with us. Very adamant about cleaning you before you get on the ship."_
Kalos-GM: Eryn: hyperspace comms penetrate the water perfectly fine
Kalos-GM: there's a few space statiosn a day's journey away
Kalos-GM: "Oh, okay? how are they going to do that?"
Ely: "I'm not sure. They're very good at cleaning things. I don't think anyone else would be bothered if you skipped the... Decontamination."
Koshy: "I JUST DESINFECTED THE SHIP FROM THE LETHAL GERM! YOU WILL MAKE ME DESINFECT IT ALL OVER AGAIN!"
Kalos-GM: They're unsure of how to proceed with this little thing yelling at them
Ely: "They would be upset though."
Kalos-GM: "Are you telling me I can't leave?"
Ely: (Don't biosuits have auto-cleaning stuff, or at least waste processing?)
Koshy: "I just need to get my things first, so I can desinfect you both while you are in the airlock!"
Ely: _bug-sighs over the radio._
Koshy: (Also, technically, hyperspace comms does not penetrate water, it bypasses it)
Koshy: (Same effect)
Kalos-GM: (yep)
Kalos-GM: THey just start swimming to the airlock.
Koshy: _Koshy tries to break off and go in first, alone._
Ely: _shrugs. is sure the ship's standard decontamination will deal with it! ...And also that there isn't really a problem, in case there isn't actually any automatic decontamination._
Ely: (Uh oh, time to see who swims faster)

Ely: "Koshy, better open that airlock."

Eryn: (Man, this is some wes Anderson type shit. anyways, we were deep enough that pressure support was relevant sooo....)

Kalos-GM: bubbles escape them  and they remain at the bottom where they are

Ely: _will go down to try and get them back into the old ship's airlock, he probably can't swim himself well enough to drag nina up_
Koshy: So, how long until Koshy gets his stuff?
Kalos-GM: its only you. Koshy is inside the airlock, and is half way through cycling water out
Koshy: Right
Koshy: I forget that this guy managed to drown himself real quick
Kalos-GM: Koshy doesn't know

Kalos-GM: Ely: you begin to drag them, half a yard at a time as fast as you can but after about 15 seconds pass, they've gone limp in your arms.- just as you reach the airlock.
Kalos-GM: but you can save them if you get them to a hospital or a medical bed, even this said
Koshy: Don't we have this on the ship?
Ely: Welllp. I guess it's too late to bring them back to the old ship. Can I swim with them? :B
Kalos-GM: (what?)
Ely: My plan was to take them to their own ship to see if there was a suit or anything they could try again with, but if they've drowned, that's probably not gonna work. Can I try to carry them up to our ship instead, hopefully where we have medical treatment?
Koshy: I think Kalos thought you were pressing on
Ely: Oh wait
Ely: I'm confused, sorry

Kalos-GM: "it's 60 years old and hasn't been maintained, that's how."
Kalos-GM: "it 'died'." They don't have a ton of tubes in them, so they start to sit up again- "I'm Nina." they reach out their hand to Eryn
Eryn: _narrows her eyes at Nina as she accepts the handshake._
Koshy: "So... I'll have to decontaminate you sooner or later, do you want it to be sooner, or later? I'd rather it be sooner, otherwise you will track germs into the ship." Koshy says, butting in.
Kalos-GM: "Do it now, sure." Nina lies back down
Ely: "We can drop you off somewhere more reasonable once we're out of here."
Koshy: (You do realize this guy is a living specimen... Or the closest thing to it. We might let him go soon enough, but maybe you guys should ask him for his help, for a while)

Koshy: "Name's Koshy." He says, before turning to the others "Soooo... You will be watching while I clean our guest?" Koshy asks, lifting a brow.
Eryn: "Well...Uh. I'm sorry my pet almost killed you. I assure you he doesn't generally do that."
Kalos-GM: "pet?" they raise a brow, looking at the little thing
Eryn: _jerks a thumb at koshy. "Yep. You've probably been away for a long time but uh...yeah. Shit is different now."_

Eryn: _start the ship and heads off planet. After we're clear of this god forsaken place we'll radio back to the boss lady_

Eryn: "My team also collected a bunch of samples....and we pulled a survivor out of the sea."
Kalos-GM: "What kind of post apocalypse?"
Kalos-GM: you know what she's really asking

Ely: (Oh damn, it really could, just get some vaccines)

Eryn: "Might have been man-made, we think?"
Eryn: "Isn't a threat to us so I imagine colonization might not pose a problem."

Kalos-GM: "Go dump them off at a homeless shelter or something."

Kalos-GM: Nina steps back out of sight, figuring they came at a bad time.
Eryn: "Our survivor"
Eryn: "I forgot to mention- the survivor is an offworlder."
Eryn: "Found him in the spaceship...Seems like they were in the fridge for a long time....Damn near expired." She looks to nina. "Say hello and goodbye to boss lady. She wants me to drop you in a space dumpster."
Kalos-GM: They come around the corner again
Kalos-GM: "Space dumpster? what?"
Eryn: "Or under a bridge. Whereever it is the homeless sleep."
Kalos-GM: "Oh.." Nina says. Boss lady just shrugs. "Congratulations on your rescue! but we don't have anything for you besides the gift of life."
Kalos-GM: Nina sighs and waits
Kalos-GM: Boss lady looks to Eryn: "Anything else?"
Ely: (lol, good boss)
Eryn: _thinks back to the warhead she found._
Eryn: "Nope."
Eryn: "I look forward to discussing my promotion."

Kalos-GM: "Eryn- what's the ship's network password? I have a lot of catching up to do."
