DiscoDude: ---BEGIN SESSION---
DiscoDude: Session logging commenced
GM: The sun is high in the cloud-swept sky as a cable-car makes its way down over the misty abyss outside Viva Lavidad. Viviana, the planet the colony was built atop, is one of tall, spire-like mountains covered in lush jungles all the way down. Cable travel is required to get just about anywhere that wasn't the central mountain-top city.
GM: One of the younger passengers couldn't help but stare out at the place this car was descending towards. Man'Geles Riche; set into the side of a smaller yet still staggering mountain above the cloud forest, this chic, modern restaurant is currently one of the highlight attractions on this whole planet.
GM: The cable-car makes its final approach, and one of the hosts gets up to let off this batch of customers. Yet, a dark form was pressing itself against the roof atop the cabin this whole time. As the car slows and finally comes to a halt, this unknown entity hoists itself over an outdoor dividing wall. Hajin, the creature in question, lands in one of several walled garden paths that joins the reception platform to the main outdoor dining area.
GM: "Welcome to Viva Lavidad, pending Agent Hermit," chirps S.E.L.E.N.E. over your standard-issue earpiece. "The lunch rush is one of Man'Geles Riche's busiest hours. You'll find your target holed up somewhere within the restaurant's interior during this hectic time. Any questions?"
(By the way, what is Hajin wearing for this mission?)
;}"÷™+╎®^★█¬ˇ¾: ((My first instinct is to say the same clothes from last time, but I imagine the agency would at least advice, if not out right provide, fancier duds.))
GM: (Let's go with the latter, then. Go ahead and describe your outfit and your character's response to the handler while I go grab dinner.)
;}"÷™+╎®^★█¬ˇ¾: Hajin pulls and tugs at the three-piece suit they're wearing, trying to adjust it; S.E.L.E.N.E. had briefed them that the wrong clothes would get them caught, but that didn't stop the discomfort. "Why they eating trash? Looks like polished sewage."
GM: "Processing... Error." Your handler doesn't seem to understand what you're talking about. "If that is all, then let me bid you happy hunting, pending Agent Hermit."
The [Outdoor Restaurant] is for the public's sake - Elevators Are Guarded and Monitored where VIPs and servers alike go to and from the [VIP Lounge]; according to the intel, you need an invitation to get up to that level. On the contrary, there seems to be an Isolated "Employees Only" Path around the side of the half-glass building, past the bathrooms - supposedly leads to something called the [Dropoff Dock], according to intel. Meanwhile, a Brick-and-Water Feature Goes All the Way Up to the [Roof], although only the very top and bottom wrap around the corner and out of sight.
;}"÷™+╎®^★█¬ˇ¾: Hajin doesn't like their prospects with climbing-plus-water combo, and has no intention of pushing through trained personnel, so the Isolated "Employees Only" Path it is.
GM: The tall, yet flat garden door at the end of the outdoor corridor has "Employees Only - Keep Out" printed front and center. Nothing's stopping you from simply climbing over, but you probably don't want to be seen past this point.
GM: (I assume you climb over?)
;}"÷™+╎®^★█¬ˇ¾: (Right; sorry.))
;}"÷™+╎®^★█¬ˇ¾: Hajin leaps up almost on top of the door and hoists themself the rest of the way up. Looking out from their perch, they scan the area for any bystanders.
;}"÷™+╎®^★█¬ˇ¾: ((Classic ninja trick: most people don't think to look up.))
GM: (You want the Zone description now or after we resolve this gate hop?)
GM: (Ah, what the hey, let's do it now.)
GM: The [Loading Dock] is a bit less neat than the restaurant itself, but not by much. You can see several conspicuously armed guards patrolling the Raised Mountain Road Above, which wraps around from your gate to some garage doors (among others) before continuing down the side of the mountain. According to intel, the latter leads directly into the [Slaughterhouse] below the VIP and kitchen areas. The guards occasionally glance out at the Concealing Underbrush Below, though it's hard to tell if they think they see anything.
"Be careful, pending Agent," says Selene. "This area contains some Strategic Camera Placement, unlike the rest of the establishment."
There doesn't seem to be any guards immediately in front of the gate you're perched on.
;}"÷™+╎®^★█¬ˇ¾: "Fake eyes are still eyes." Hajin says before hoping down and head towards the underbrush, being sure to displacing their appearance to be among foliage while they walk right next to them to avoid making sound.
GM: (Attempting to sneak over to the next zone?)
;}"÷™+╎®^★█¬ˇ¾: ((Yeah.))
GM: (Alright, overcome with (I assume) STEALTH vs. Fair (+2) passive difficulty.)
;}"÷™+╎®^★█¬ˇ¾: !f 3
DiscoDude: ;}"÷™+╎®^★█¬ˇ¾ rolled 4dF+3 for 4 [4dF = [+][+][ ][-]]
GM: (That's a success.)
GM: As you traipse past guard and camera alike, you overhear two of them quietly discussing something.
"So, I heard Mongongo Studios is sending someone today."
"Really? The Uranium Chef guys? I'm surprised they took Mr. Russo's application seriously."
(Do you listen further?)
;}"÷™+╎®^★█¬ˇ¾: Curious as any cat, Hajin slows down to catch an ear of what the guards are saying.
GM: "Hey, have you tried his food before?"
"Good point... So who are they sending?"
"LaBlanc."
"The anonymous guy?"
"Yeah. Big guy with the hooded trenchcoat. They say that nobody's caught a glimpse of his face; supposedly, the production team has to jump through a lot of hoops to even get him on as a guest judge."
"Yeah, now I know who you're talking about... Wait, isn't there another rumor about him?"
"Yup. Don't worry, Mr. Russo should be able to handle whatever bribe he asks for... assuming he does ask for one."
GM: "An incognito talent agent?" Selene is careful to stay quiet enough for only you to hear. "Sounds like a guise with a lot of potential... assuming you choose to go that way, of course."
;}"÷™+╎®^★█¬ˇ¾: "Sounds complicated." Hajin just barely whispers before moving on.
((I think the next zone is inside the building. I little trouble processing everything.))
GM: (It is. I'll describe your entrance into it now, assuming you don't want to pause for tonight.)
;}"÷™+╎®^★█¬ˇ¾: ((I can continue; I'm just going to be slow about it and ask a lot of obvious questions.))
GM: (Alright, although fully describing two full zones has also taken a bit out of me. Maybe I shouldn't focus too hard about describing every aspect in-character.)
GM: (Okay, maybe it's taken more out of me than I was expecting.)
;}"÷™+╎®^★█¬ˇ¾: ((I'm fine with pausing here if you need it.))
GM: (Thank you. You're free to describe how you enter the building before we finish off.)
;}"÷™+╎®^★█¬ˇ¾: ((Not sure I have the mental processing for that right now.))
GM: (Alright, I'll include a sentence about slipping through a door as part of the scene intro next time.)
GM: (I assume you're good for last lines?)
GM: (;}"÷™+╎®^★█¬ˇ¾?)
;}"÷™+╎®^★█¬ˇ¾: ((Yeah.))
;}"÷™+╎®^★█¬ˇ¾: ((Sorry.))
GM: (Then let us...)
