- Dragon Duel is a Yu-Gi-Oh! format.
- Gameplay
- There are 3 Monster Zones and 3 Spell & Trap Zones. No Field, Pendulum Zones, or Extra Deck Zones exist.
- The Deck consists of 40 cards consisting of Dragon Cards, Spells and Traps.
- Players start the Duel with five cards in their hand. During their Draw Phase, the turn player draws 1 card, and the same applies to the person who starts the duel first.
- Players can Normal Summon/Set as many monsters as they want in a single turn. Level 5 and higher monsters must still be Tribute Summoned normally, and they draw 1 card if they Tribute Summon a Level 5 or 6 monster, or 2 if Tribute Summoning a Level 7+ monster.
- LP is set to 5 instead of 8000.
- Dragon Cards
- Dragon Cards represent monsters and replace them in Dragon Duel. They have no ATK/DEF and they are all DRAGON-Attribute.
- Battle
- *If a monster with higher Level attacks a monster with lower Level, the latter is destroyed and your opponent loses 1 LP. If a player's LP becomes 0, they lose the Duel.
- *If 2 monsters with equal Level attack each other, it's a tie, and no player loses LP. But still, both monsters are destroyed.
- *If a player has no monsters, a direct attack is performed and the player loses 1 LP for each direct attack.
- Example:
- Ranger Dragon
- Level 3 DRAGON Dragon Duel
- <When this card is Normal Summoned> Gain 1 LP.
- Templar Dragon
- Level 7 DRAGON Dragon Duel
- <While on the field> This card cannot be destroyed by battle with a Level 7 Dragon Card.
