GM: EXCHANGE 1/9
GM: Final Cook-Off: Restaurant Wars vs. Actinium & Protactinium Chef!
Spire Shuffle
Your Best Behavior, Please | Away from Your Dishes
Red satin carpet with simple, yet elegant designs; tables with crisp, tastefully placed cloths; seats that could be mistaken for armchairs if not for the holes in the design necessary to accommodate any species; five grand, sprawling chandeliers, each designed with the motif of a suit of cards (the fifth sporting a laughing jester). This is the cream of the crop in an already competitive restauranteur scene. One table is partitioned off and reserved for the judges.
The Kitchens
Every Appliance and Tool You Need | Sturdy Counters
There are five connected kitchens around the restaurant floor (Club, Heart, Diamond, Spade, and Joker), each being their own zone, and each large enough to host one team of 4. Each kitchen is equipped with every possible cooking vessel (pots, pans, baking sheets, trays), utensil (mallets, knives, melon ballers) and appliance (stoves, ovens, deep fryers, absolute-zero blast chillers, temporal accelerators, a singular ice cream machine), all supplied by Xenolite Corp. Each is stocked with a modest pantry, but it's nowhere near as universal as a lardertron.
The Elevator
Surprisingly Spacious | Patrons Coming and Going
Since parking the shuttle inside Spire Shuffle would be both a PR and logistical nightmare, the judges will be waiting in the elevator car of the acclaimed restaurant's central shaft. Even with their staff attending to them, there's still plenty of room for the regular guests of this establishment.
GM: Special rule; The Customer is Always Right
Instead of a mid-challenge complication, 1dF is rolled for each team each exchange (except the first), to represent burgeoning developments on the restaurant floor.

[-]: March, We Have a Problem - Something goes awry in this team's corner of the restaurant (kids get too loud, someone is having an allergic reaction, a drink is spilled, etc.), causing a negative aspect representing it to appear with a free invoke against the team. This will negatively impact their total score if it persists to the end of the challenge.
[ ]: All Quiet on the Restaurant Front - Nothing comes up for this team this exchange.
[+]: Order Up! - For this exchange only, an order comes in for a dish in this team's corner. Roll a d6 for what flavor it is (1: Bitter, 2: Cool, 3: Savory, 4: Sour, 5: Spicy, 6: Sweet). The target will always be Value:2. If this one-aspect dish is delivered out to the floor this turn, the deliverer may attempt to roll to create an advantage vs. +2 to generate buzz for their customer service. Success includes a bonus free invoke on top of normal create advantage rules (a tie being upgraded to an aspect with a single free invoke). This will positively impact the team's total score at the end.
GM: - EXCHANGE 1/9 -
GM: "A-ah!" The Protactinium Chef sees the hand go down, and takes her cue to grab the newly spawned sous-bots under her arms and haul ass to Joker kitchen as fast as her wobbly legs can take her, where she gets to work programming them by hand.
GM: Actinium follows her in, and gets to work making some choice wine selections for a dish he's going to participate in creating soon. "I don't do too much cooking myself, but I do have a nice recipe my sister knows how to finish. Lessee..."
GM: !f 3 (Actinium Clever)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+3 for 4 [4dF = [-][+][+][ ]]
GM: After uncorking and smelling each one, and seeming to ponder a bit, he finally selects his Choice Victuals [!!]. "Just the right wines, oils, and syrups for the job!"
Reality Glitch: "Welp! I better get ready!" Rachelle says while rummaging in her bag for a very specific tool.
Reality Glitch: !f 3 (Quickly Create and Advantage)
DiscoDude: <@Reality Glitch> rolled 4dF+3 for 3 [4dF = [-][ ][+][ ]]
GM: Protactinium is done with the sous-bots, and they bleep to life. She immediately works on calming herself down before focusing on arranging every utensil she'll need where she'll need it.
GM: !f 3 (Protactinium Careful)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+3 for 2 [4dF = [-][ ][+][-]]
Dovelia: turns to her team. "All right. As team captain, I'm going to go ahead and delegate tasks. Mz. Cozo, you're on appetizer duty. Something seafood, I think. Perhaps a twist on a, what do they call it...a shrimp cocktail. Norstar, I'd like you working on a dessert. Fruit-flavored. The details I leave to you, but try to make something that can be eaten with ordinary utensils. A spoon, a straw, take your pick. As for you, Rachelle..." She puts a hand on Rachelle's shoulder and smiles. "You'll be taking care of the entree. I'm confident in your skills and tastes, so I will leave the entire implementation to your discretion."
Reality Glitch: As part of getting dressed to look the part, Rachelle pulls out a pair of Waitress's Roller Skates [!] to keep up with the house chefs' prosthetics..
Dovelia: raises an eyebrow. "Oh? You'd rather be on the floor than working on the entree?" She looks a little puzzled, and...disappointed, like she was prepared to handle the floor herself.
GM: Protactinium completes her Utensil Mise-En-Place [!]. "My sister and I both know that it's good to get these sorts of preparations done before the customers really start pouring in," says Actinium.
Reality Glitch: "I got my start doing this kind of work. It'll be Great (+4) to get back into it."
Dovelia: "...all right, then. In that case, er...would you have any suggestions for an entree? I'd be honored to take your advice."
GM: Norstar: "Bah! I need meat to work with! But ah... fine, let's get creative. I should be able to figure something out... HAHAHAHA!" She waddles off to the Heart Kitchen and starts messing with the ice cream machine and food processor. Is she... trying to combine them?!
Reality Glitch: "To go with cocktails and a fruity dessert? Let me think." She pauses for moment. "What's planned for the main course?"
GM: !f 3 (Norstar Clever)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+3 for 3 [4dF = [-][+][-][+]]
Dovelia: "Shrimp cocktail. You know, with a ring of chilled shrimp around a spicy sauce. As for the main course, that's what I was asking you about."
GM: (And I'm going to use Turbo Charge to add another free invoke to the success.) "MWAHAHAHAHA! Behold, my Combination Ice Cream Processor [!][!]-inator!"
Reality Glitch: "Sorry for the brain fart; I thought you meant the appetizers."
Reality Glitch: ((What's Dovelia's best culinary approach?))
GM: Meanwhile, the sous-bots get to work; one heads into the pantry to find some meat, apparently. "I'm afraid the cameras don't have good shots of the manual controls," says Dr. Durian from... another location. "That means we can only speculate on what the sous bots are about to do."
GM: !f 2 (Prepping or Securing Ingredients)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+2 for 0 [4dF = [-][ ][ ][-]]
Reality Glitch: ((<@!Dovelia>?))
Dovelia: (bitter)
Ratatoskr: Ratatoskr Begins assorting a collection of spices of various colors and shapes, doing fancy maneuvers with the knives as he cuts them, a [Tongue Burner Mix - Spicy][!] for the rest of his team, Lest they don't have anything Spicy to add to their dishes and the big hulking squirrel-like be occupied with other things. (Now I roll Flashy, right?)
GM: (Yes. Although this sounds more like a prep aspect than an ingredient.)
Reality Glitch: ((I thought ingredient aspects were a kind of prep aspect.))
Ratatoskr: (Err, Will admit i did debate within the two.)
GM: (I guess? I'll allow it.)
GM: And it brings back Atlas Hare (Rock Tough) {!}. "Ah-!" Protactinium feels it, and it doesn't have any give. She immediately grabs the other and retypes its commands, and it grabs the hare and several other slabs of meat... and a meat cleaver. (Making a prep aspect to counteract the negative invoke.)
GM: !f 2 (Prepping and Securing Ingredients)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+2 for 4 [4dF = [+][-][+][+]]
Reality Glitch: "I'm tempted to suggest some sort of sort of fruit-pie, but that's assuming what kind of bats these people are."
Ratatoskr: !f +3
DiscoDude: <@Ratatoskr> rolled 4dF+3 for 4 [4dF = [ ][+][+][-]]
GM: (SWS! Is it against the rules to cut a negative invoke out of another ingredient instead of putting a second invoke on this prep aspect (even if it makes sense)?) And it succeeds in Tenderizing ALL the Meats [!].
Reality Glitch: ((<@!Dovelia>))
GM: Ratatoskr succeeds with style!
Dovelia: (your call, GM)
GM: (Since they're gonna inevitably cancel each other out anyways... I say it's not against the rules. :3)
Reality Glitch: ((Does Dovelia not have any more to say to Rachelle?))
Dovelia: "For...the main course?"
GM: Cocoa rushes into Club Kitchen. "Okay, who's taking charge? Why do I only see two other people in here? ... No, no, calm down... Look, do we agree that I'm the most qualified person here to handle the front?" She looks at <@!Ratatoskr>, then Zicks, then back to Ratatoskr. (BTW, suggest an action for Zicks?)
Reality Glitch: "Like said, Presumptuous." Rachelle's taken aback by her own use of a $10 word before regaining composure. "I'm afraid of my other gut instinct of something insect- or blood-base not going over well, but I don't want to poison them with Earth food."
GM: (<@!Ratatoskr>?)
Dovelia: "We're cooking to impress the judges, remember? Not the customers."
Ratatoskr: After Ratatoskr finished his ungodly concoction of an ingredient, He looks back to Cocoa. @Huh, Oh, sure, I'll be handling this with care to you now." She quickly is given the mix in the plate. Zicks does a sound indicating he will probably follow Cocoa;'s orders....probably.
Dovelia: "We can't afford to second-guess our culinary instincts."
Reality Glitch: "I highly doubt killing customers will impress judges, but simple grilled steak will have to do."
Dovelia: "Then that's what I'll work with. Thank you." She bows sincerely.
GM: "What am I supposed to do with this." Cocoa just makes a look at Ratatoskr. "Did... Did I stutter when I said I should handle the front? Like, the not-cooking part?" She just pinches the bridge of her nose and hands the spices back. "Whatever, there's time before the customers show up. I'll prepare for... them, right." She gets out cocktail glasses, ramekins, small plates, napkins, and adorable spoons and gets to work arranging them in preparation for the incoming rush.
Reality Glitch: "Then I better get to my post." Rachelle blurts as she finishes tie you skate's lases.
GM: !f 3 (Cocoa Careful)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+3 for 1 [4dF = [ ][-][ ][-]]
Ratatoskr: ...Ratatoskr Sighs, Just when one thought it would be the perfect time to crack all those wall of cooks jokes... "Alright, Whatever you say, Ma'am." Spoke the right head before returning to their station.
GM: She honestly doesn't make much progress, but she does get a handful of -Premade Tiny Plating- done.
GM: (Got a mechanical action for Zicks, <@!Ratatoskr>?)
GM: (It should be noted that Dovelia hasn't made a roll yet.)
Reality Glitch: Gliding around the tables with as much ease the house chefs, Rachelle manages to set the places on a couple tables in a single lap of the figure-eight they makes around them.
Dovelia: While Rachelle is prepping to take care of the floor, Dovelia starts prepping her kitchen station.
Dovelia: (gonna try and make a prep aspect)
Dovelia: !f 3 (Careful)
DiscoDude: <@Dovelia> rolled 4dF+3 for 4 [4dF = [+][-][+][ ]]
Dovelia: (woo, is that an SWS?)
GM: (Yep!)
Ratatoskr: (Ah, I do in fact, almost forgot!)

Zicks in the meanwhile, has already gotten a hand of a pressure cooker, and seems to be [Cranking up the Pressure!][!], For once. "ITS TIME TO COOK!!" The little thing yells at the top of his lung.
Dovelia: Dovelia whips out a sonic thermometer and gazes intently at the readout. Ahhh...perfect temperature. She now has a [Perfectly Calibrated Grill][!!] to work with.
GM: (Roll it, <@!Ratatoskr>! Aggressive, I take it?)
Ratatoskr: (AH, YES!)
Ratatoskr: !f 3
DiscoDude: <@Ratatoskr> rolled 4dF+3 for 1 [4dF = [-][-][-][+]]
GM: (Enough to tie!)
Ratatoskr: (monkas)
GM: It's not as extreme as one might think; maybe he does have some modicum of restraint?
Ratatoskr: ...Definitely not as harsh as he could be treating that poor pressure cooker
GM: (And finally...)
GM: Gwystan finds himself alone after everyone rushed off to the kitchens. He's shooed away from the elevator by some camera crew ready to film the first rush of customers, but he turns right back around and stands inconspicuously behind them. When the elevator doors finally open to a rush of patrons, they move in to replace them and give the audience a glimpse of today's judges, and Gwystan moves in behind them Unnoticed (using his "Don't Mind Me" stunt).
GM: !f 3 (Gwystan Sneaky)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+3 for 2 [4dF = [-][-][ ][+]]
GM: (Hang on, let me look up the rules for spying on judges. I have no clue if I just succeeded.)
Reality Glitch: ((What will the those waiting the tables being doing in a mechanical sense?))
GM: (Dealing with issues as they come up, maybe creating advantages to help them do that, and ducking back into the kitchen to help if things are slow.)
GM: (... Okay, skimming this, it turns out judging on multiple courses is way different than we thought, but this is an issue for later.)
GM: (For now, I'll keep things simplified and say Gwystan tied.)
GM: Gwystan isn't able to get a good look, but he does glimpse Dr. Durian. Come to think of it, he didn't see him around on the restaurant floor. So he's a judge? Gwystan remembers him liking -Sour- things, but he can't recall anything beyond that.
GM: He'll keep it to himself, though; he can't be sure.
GM: - EXCHANGE 2/9 -
GM: (The customers are here, which means it's time to roll! The dice in order from left to right are: Acti-Prota, Fuzzfest, Ladies First.)
GM: !roll 3dF
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 3dF for 2 [3dF = [ ][+][+]]
GM: !roll 2d6
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 2d6 for 10 [2d6 = 6, 4]
GM: Orders come in! Team Fuzzfest must deliver a Tropicana Creme Brulee - Sweet (Value:2), while Team Ladies First just got a request for some System Shocktails - Sour (Value:2).
Dovelia: (did Mz. Cozo take an action last exchange?)
GM: (SHIT, I KNEW I WAS FORGETTING SOMETHING. Who's controlling her?)
Dovelia: (i think me, whoop XD)
GM: (Quick, do that!)
GM: (Make her act twice, in fact! XD)
Dovelia: Mz. Cozo chafes at Dovelia's direction, but there's nothing stopping her from putting a twist on her instructions...
Dovelia: (preparing ingredient aspect [K'jun Spice Mix (Spicy)])
Dovelia: !f 3 (Spicy)
DiscoDude: <@Dovelia> rolled 4dF+3 for 7 [4dF = [+][+][+][+]]
Dovelia: (HELL YES)
Ratatoskr: (DAMN)
Reality Glitch: (([!!]))
GM: (Right. Now again!)
GM: Protactinium inputs new orders to the sous-bots. The first works on calibrating the stoves.
GM: !f 2 (Prepping and Securing Ingredients)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+2 for 0 [4dF = [ ][ ][-][-]]
Dovelia: Mz. Cozo grins diabolically at the fiery concoction in her hands. She'll show that arrogant green kitty "shrimp cocktail"...
GM: The Stoves Are Erupting {!} and it takes Protactinium a few seconds to notice, but she jumps when she does. "A-AAAH!" The other is going in to get another ingredient, meanwhile.
GM: !f 2 (Prepping and Securing Ingredients)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+2 for 4 [4dF = [-][+][+][+]]
GM: And it returns with good news: (Abundant) Truancy Citrus - Sour [!!].
Dovelia: (to be clear, do we need to plate our special order dishes or does just getting the aspect do it?)
GM: (Getting the aspect does it.)
Dovelia: "Bother. Rachelle, get ready!"
Dovelia: starts prepping the drinks.
Dovelia: !f 2 (Sour)
DiscoDude: <@Dovelia> rolled 4dF+2 for 2 [4dF = [+][-][+][-]]
Dovelia: (okay, can i put a FATE Point on one of the kitchen aspects for a clean win?)
GM: (Sure!)
GM: (Don't forget to note it down.)
GM: "Ah, that can't be good~ No matter; we'll just need to work around it. Sister?" Actinium taps Protactinium on the shoulder, and she snaps to attention.
"Mm!" She nods furiously, and gets to work helping him start his famous Muscarta Blood Pudding - Bitter (Value:8).
GM: (Activating one of Protactinium's stunts: Bonded to My Brother [-1]: Because of our good teamwork, I can add +3 when aiding my brother’s roll to create a dish aspect instead of +1. Can be done once per scene or cook-off.)
GM: !f 6 (Bitter + Aide Another)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+6 for 5 [4dF = [ ][+][-][-]]
Reality Glitch: "Already on it." Rachelle shouts as they come speeding towards the take out window.
GM: (Both invokes on Choice Victuals [!!] are spent. Anyone want to invoke something?)
Dovelia: puts the drinks out for Rachelle to pick up.
GM: (Anyone want to invoke The Stoves Are Erupting {!}?)
Ratatoskr: ( <:GWchadThink:366999782348292108> )
GM: (Is... Is that a yes...?)
Reality Glitch: ((Sure, since it's a free invoke.))
GM: (Then I'll counteract it with a FATE point on Choice Victuals.)
Reality Glitch: Rachelle snatches the drinks on a parallel trajectory to the edge of the counter, curves back into to crowd, and sets the drink on the corresponding table all in one fluid movement and without loosing momentum.
Reality Glitch: !f 3 (Quickly Create an Advantage)
DiscoDude: <@Reality Glitch> rolled 4dF+3 for 6 [4dF = [ ][+][+][+]]
GM: It's a bit touch and go for a bit there, but the siblings finally succeed! The Muscarta Blood Pudding - Bitter (Value:8) is complete!
Reality Glitch: And that Sustained Momentum [!!] seems to even be picking up a little.
GM: "Oh, thank y- oh, she's gone." "Talk about expedient!"
GM: (Keep in mind that the aspect you gain from delivering this dish gets a bonus free invoke, but must apply to the final score.)
GM: (Maybe "Talk About Expedient!" [!!][!]?)
Reality Glitch: ((That wasn't from the dish.))
Reality Glitch: ((That was the normal action for the turn.))
GM: (When you deliver a dish, you're rolling to create advantage to generate buzz and good feedback for your team.)
Reality Glitch: ((I was trying to continue the trend started in the first exchange, but sure: Talk About Expedient!!!))
GM: (Lessee... Dovelia, Rachelle, all of Team Acti-Prota, and... I think that's it as far as people who have gone yet. Am I missing anyone?)
GM: Cocoa scrambles to put together the Creme Brulee. "I'll make this one; who's delivering it?"
GM: !f 3 (Sweet)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+3 for 3 [4dF = [-][ ][+][ ]]
GM: And she succeeds!
GM: (<@!Ratatoskr>, will you take it to the table, or Zicks?)
Ratatoskr: Ratatoskr Raises up. "I'll do it!" He then leans closer to Cocoa, at least the left head does. "Doubt Zicks will do very well with the clients, catch my drift?" he whispers.
GM: "Yyyyyyeah... Prolly the right call. Go get 'em, 'big bro!'"
GM: Gwystan, still Unnoticed, strolls out of the elevator when it returns to the restaurant floor, mixing among the crowd until he strolls right into Joker Kitchen right after Actinium leaves to oversee said floor. The sous-bots pay him no mind, of course, and Protactinium seems far too engrossed in her next project to notice him.
GM: "Looks like she's yet to pre-heat her ovens. Good thing I caught this early; that could lead to disaster."
GM: !f 3 (Gwystan Sneaky)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+3 for 3 [4dF = [+][-][-][+]]
GM: He does a few inputs and preheats the oven to four... thousand degrees. "Whoops. Hopefully, she catches that."
GM: And with that, he casually saunters in the direction of the next kitchen over, Spade. (And that's his turn.)
Reality Glitch: ((Just going around sabotaging each other team in turn?))
GM: (Neither confirming nor denying.)
GM: "Hm... This is perfect for a shaken milk, but what flavor?" muses Professor Norstar. "... Welp! Only one way to find out!" She heads into the pantry to browse and peruse the different ingredients on display.
Ratatoskr: Ratatoskr promptly Goes to deliver the dessert, the hulk tries to be as flamboyant as possible delivering the créme brûlée, maybe that's how they used to offer their dishes to the kings back at his home planet? finally he is looming over the client. "Have you asked for this fine créme brûlée My companion made?" Said the right head....this is definitely a...particular act. (Gonna try and copy Rachelle to get some popularity :V)

Zicks meanwhile, has shoved a shredded "Chicken" inside the cooker...Going for a [Tuscan Chicken - Savory][Value : 4] Perhaps?
GM: !f 3 (Norstar Clever)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+3 for 3 [4dF = [ ][-][+][ ]]
GM: (Rolling Flashy on <@!Ratatoskr>'s end?)
Ratatoskr: !f 3
DiscoDude: <@Ratatoskr> rolled 4dF+3 for 2 [4dF = [+][-][-][ ]]
GM: "Aha! Maple-Smoked Maple Syrup - Sweet [!], of course!"
Ratatoskr: (Yes)
Ratatoskr: (Aaaand Savory on Zicks end)
Ratatoskr: !f 3 (Zicks' Savory)
DiscoDude: <@Ratatoskr> rolled 4dF+3 for 3 [4dF = [ ][ ][-][+]]
GM: One of the guests is a bit put off, but the table is otherwise flattered. (Name an aspect with a free invoke.)
GM: (Gonna boost on Zick's end?)
GM: (<@!Dovelia>, have you done Mz. Cozo's second action?)
Ratatoskr: (Can I Boost with the High Concept?)
Dovelia: (whoop, hang on)
GM: (What about the prep boost you just made?)
Ratatoskr: And, How about [The Wall's Customs Burn Bright][!] ?
GM: (Only one invoke; this is upgraded from a boost you would gain from a tie.)
Dovelia: Next, Mz. Cozo searches through the seafood selection for only the finest [Crab Nebula Crawdads (Cool)]. This will be her kind of shrimp cocktail!
Dovelia: !f 1 (Cool)
DiscoDude: <@Dovelia> rolled 4dF+1 for 0 [4dF = [+][ ][-][-]]
Dovelia: (eeeeeh...can I spend another FATE Point on the well-stocked kitchen)
Dovelia: (also uh)
Dovelia: (does Mz. Cozo spend from my pool, or her own)
Ratatoskr: (Ah, gotit)
GM: (... I... Don't know.)
Reality Glitch: ((From their controller's pool.))
Reality Glitch: ((I had to spend for Lithia last episode.))
GM: (Yeah, the boost was your decision, so you supply it.)
Dovelia: (fair enough, here I go~)
Dovelia: (come to think of it nvm, i'd be spending a FATE Point to get a +2 bonus)
GM: (<@!Ratatoskr>, do you use the prep boost on Zick's end, or a FATE point?)
Dovelia: Mz. Cozo is appalled at the seafood stock. If there are any crawdads good enough for her to use, they're well-hidden. She may have to compromise.
GM: (That leaves... Who has yet to go? Also, name a bad ingredient aspect for the failed Create Advantage. (Or is that optional after all?))
GM: (<@!Ratatoskr>?)
Reality Glitch: ((There should be a list of names that you just check off each exchange.))
Dovelia: (no idea)
GM: (Let's say it isn't; I was operating under that assumption.)
Ratatoskr: (AAA, The prep aspect, definitely the prep aspect)
GM: (Alright.)
GM: (<@!Dovelia>, name that bad ingredient!)
Dovelia: ([Crappy Crab Nebula Crawdads])
GM: - EXCHANGE 3/9 -
GM: !roll 3dF
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 3dF for -1 [3dF = [ ][-][ ]]
GM: All is quiet... except for Furfest's corner! There's a Crying Child {!} making a fuss, and he's bothering other patrons!
GM: "What's going o- oh, uh." Cocoa runs up to the table. "Oh, hey there little guy, what seems to be the problem here?"
GM: !f 3 (Cocoa Careful)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+3 for 4 [4dF = [+][+][ ][-]]
GM: (And it's enough to dispel it!)
GM: "There there, big sis is here to cheer you up! You can have a bite of your brother's cake."
"Hey!"
"Now now, it's only fair since you made him cry in the first place~"
The older brother pouts, but doesn't make any further protest.
GM: "Hm, things sure are slow~" Actinium mutters under his breath. "Well, let's try livening things up!" He taps a receiver on one of his ears. Over in Club Kitchen, an ooking cybernetic monkey pops open a ventilation grate. It hops onto a counter and starts going after utensils! (Ratatoskr's out on the floor, right?)
GM: (That's right, it's time for the Robo-Bonobos to join the fracas! Only one at the moment, though.)
GM: (<@!Ratatoskr>, I think Zicks is the only one there to defend. Roll for him?)
Ratatoskr: (... ZICKS, SIC 'EM)
GM: !f 2 (Stealing Utensils)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+2 for 2 [4dF = [-][-][+][+]]
Ratatoskr: ZICKS will have NONE of this "EEK, GET OUT, YOU LOUSY COPYCATS!!" ZICKS thus proceeds to COUNTERATTACK the monkey menace.
Ratatoskr: !f 3 (ZICKS AGGRESSIVE)
DiscoDude: <@Ratatoskr> rolled 4dF+3 for 2 [4dF = [-][ ][+][-]]
GM: (This is a Create Advantage he's defending against, for the record.)
Ratatoskr: (Noted, a tie should be fine? )
GM: (I think a tie means a boost, right? <@!Dovelia>?)
Dovelia: (yeah)
GM: Zicks is a bit -Distractible- right now trying to fend off this Robo-Bonobo.
GM: Protactinium meanwhile hits the "repeat" button on the sous-bots, and they go back into the pantry!
GM: !f 2 (Prepping and Securing Ingredients)

GM: !f 2 (Prepping and Securing Ingredients)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+2 for 4 [4dF = [+][+][+][-]]
GM: And they both come back with plenty; (Sumptuous) Goad Cheese - Savory [!!] and (Rich) Tar Sugar [!!], respectively!
GM: (I notice that no PCs are making any moves right now.)
Reality Glitch: ((I assume it's alright to narrate serving the guests food other than what's being prepared or the competition.))
GM: (Sure.)
Dovelia: (waiting for GM moves to finish)
Reality Glitch: Rachelle continues speeding around the tables handing out drinks snacks and appetizers.
Reality Glitch: !f 3 (Quickly Create an Advantage)
DiscoDude: <@Reality Glitch> rolled 4dF+3 for 0 [4dF = [-][ ][-][-]]
GM: (That won't cut it, Rachelle...)
Reality Glitch: ((Spending a free invocation from Waitress's Roller-Skates to tie.))
GM: (Fair enough.)
Reality Glitch: ((Effectively replacing the free invoke with a boost.))
GM: (Yup.)
Reality Glitch: ((Speed Boost; because that's both creative and lazy at the same time.))
GM: Protactinium herself gets to work on [Citrus-Braised Whole Pluckshrooms - Sour] (Value:6).
GM: !f 4 (Protactinium Sour)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+4 for 6 [4dF = [+][+][+][-]]
Dovelia: resists the instinct to elbow Mz. Cozo out of the way as she begins hunting for her own ingredients. [Bovis Maximus Prime Rib (Savory)] sounds about right...
Dovelia: !f 2 (Savory)
DiscoDude: <@Dovelia> rolled 4dF+2 for 3 [4dF = [ ][+][+][-]]
Dovelia: (GOT IT)
GM: (Spending one invoke of the Truancy Citrus - Sour [!!].)
Dovelia: Mz. Cozo, on the other hand, can't help but fume as Dovelia pulls a nice-looking steak out, humming victoriously as she does.
GM: And the pluckshrooms come out beautifully.
GM: (<@!Ratatoskr> and Zicks both still have to go.)
GM: (As does Cozo.)
Ratatoskr: (is Ratatoskr back on the kitchen?)
GM: (You can say he is now!)
GM: "Time to put my theory to practice!" Professor Norstar revs up the machine to make [Smoked Maple Milkshakes - Sweet] (Value:5).
Dovelia: Mz. Cozo gives Dovelia an "evil eye" gesture as she returns to the kitchen proper. Ah, what's this? Dovelia seems to have prepped the grill, just for her. A few skewers and some spice rub later, and she's ready to turn her substandard crawdads into k'jun-flavored gold.
GM: !f 1 (Norstar Sweet)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+1 for 0 [4dF = [+][ ][-][-]]
Dovelia: (hey to be clear, are you gonna like...invoke the bad ingredient aspect against me?)
GM: (Oh, absolutely. XD)
Dovelia: (in that case hedging my bets a little)
GM: (Also, spending both invokes on the combination machine, and the invoke on the maple ingredient for the win.)
Dovelia: (attempting [K'jun Crawdad Skewers (Spicy) - 6])
Dovelia: !f 3 (Spicy)
DiscoDude: <@Dovelia> rolled 4dF+3 for 3 [4dF = [+][+][-][-]]
Ratatoskr: Well, Can't leave that chicken alone while ZICKS is dealing with the problem now!

Simply put, He will try to use that fancy spice mix to give the chicken some [Burning Oomph - Spciy][Value: 3]!

IF ZICKS can still deal with the monkeys... he is gonna show em who is REALLY boss and scare them all away to the other kitchens!
Dovelia: (i'm gonna spend both invokes on her K'jun Spice)
Ratatoskr: !f 3 (Boosting with [Tongue Burner Mix - Spicy])
DiscoDude: <@Ratatoskr> rolled 4dF+3 for 5 [4dF = [+][ ][ ][+]]
GM: (And I'll invoke the bad crawdads.)
Dovelia: (and i will...spend one invoke on the grill! <3)
GM: "Haha! Success!" Norstar is celebrating as the machine churns out a yummy shake. Cozo is also celebrating. They both celebrate together, in recursive cackling.
GM: (Oh, wait, I couldn't invoke the crawdads - you were burying their flavor.)
Dovelia: (ha, whoop)
Dovelia: (yeah i forgot that)
Ratatoskr: (shall I roll aggresive to overcome The monkey disadvantage?)
Dovelia: returns to the kitchen and nearly drops her steak on the floor when she realizes Mz. Cozo is messing with HER grill. It's all she can do not to explode in anger at having her careful kitchen prep fiddled with.
GM: (And scare it off to another kitchen? Sure!)
Ratatoskr: !f 3
DiscoDude: <@Ratatoskr> rolled 4dF+3 for 4 [4dF = [+][+][-][ ]]
Ratatoskr: (nice)
GM: !f 2 (Harassing Chefs)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+2 for 1 [4dF = [-][ ][ ][ ]]
GM: (Spending the -Distractible- boost to prevent a SWS since the Bonobo is on its way out anyways.)
Ratatoskr: (that would have been fun XD)
GM: "OOK, HOWL!" The Robo-Bonobo bursts through the doors to Heart Kitchen, with Zicks almost following in after it!
GM: (Alright, that just leaves...)
GM: Gwystan breezes through Spade Kitchen, hoping to snipe an acquired ingredient for himself before anyone notices he's not supposed to be there.
GM: !f 3 (Gwystan Sneaky)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+3 for 1 [4dF = [-][ ][-][ ]]
GM: (Only a tie. Ah well, a boost is a boost.)
GM: "Got some -String Theory Pepperoncini - Spicy- for everyone!" Alexx emerges from the pantry and throws some to Greto, to Buzel, to Mimi, and to Gwystan. "What am I supposed to do with this?" Buzel says. "I dunno, pepper cake? ... Wait, where's the stuff I was gonna keep for myself?"
GM: - EXCHANGE 4/9 -
GM: !roll 3dF
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 3dF for -1 [3dF = [-][-][+]]
GM: (Things start getting exciting!)
Reality Glitch: ((Wait; did the robo-bonobo move to the Hearts kitchen?))
GM: (Yep, but it hasn't done anything yet.)
GM: Over at the Acti-Prota side, someone is being unruly at one of the tables; a Lover's Spat {!} it seems. Furfest has its own problem to contend with; Someone's Spilled Soup All Over Themselves {!}! Finally...
GM: !roll 1d6
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 1d6 for 4 [1d6 = 4]
GM: Another order for a [System Shocktail - Sour 2] just came in!
Dovelia: (on which team?)
GM: (Ladies First.)
Reality Glitch: Rachelle, seeing the Robo-Bonobo and Zicks rush into their team's kitchen, rushes over to try and divert them by drawing its ire.
Reality Glitch: ((Would that be Overcome, Create an Advantage, or Attack?))
Dovelia: decides to put her anger at Mz. Cozo sniping her grill towards making a second round of drinks.
Dovelia: !f 2 (Sour)
DiscoDude: <@Dovelia> rolled 4dF+2 for 4 [4dF = [ ][ ][+][+]]
GM: (I mean, I'm wondering why nobody is attempting to just dive kick them; they have no stress boxes.)
Dovelia: (YES)
Reality Glitch: ((That's basically what Rachelle is doing, so Attack it is.))
Reality Glitch: !f 3 (Quickly Attack the Robo-Bonobo)

GM: !f -2 (Fighting Alone)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF-2 for -1 [4dF = [-][ ][+][+]]
GM: (Describe yourself decimating this poor monkey. XD)
GM: Actinium Chef glides over to the couple to see what the issue is; uh-oh, looks like what could be the man's mistress has discovered them from the next table over. He'll need to defuse the situation by...
GM: !f 4 (Actinium Flashy)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+4 for 3 [4dF = [-][ ][+][-]]
Reality Glitch: Rachelle has just enough momentum to ram into the pesky imp like a baseball player sliding into home, before bolting back up to grab the drink.
Ratatoskr: (Hmm, It seems Ratatoskr won't be able to help much...)
GM: Taking the mistress into his own arms (after some mild fumbling)! "Mon chere, there you are! I know you like to make me jealous, but no need to ruin another couple's night! You know where I'll be later today..." He presses a slip of paper with his phone number into the mistress's hand. This grand display seems to placate the wife; that's one marriage saved, at least for tonight!
GM: (Rachelle just acted, so either Norstar or Cozo needs to deliver this, if at all. XD)
GM: Protactinium gets to work stuffing those pluckshrooms, meanwhile! (Making [Stuffed With Goad Cheese - Savory 5] as a side.)
GM: !f 3 (Savory)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+3 for 5 [4dF = [+][+][-][+]]
GM: (And only one invoke of the cheese needed!)
Ratatoskr: (...Wait, Can you remind me where our 4th man is?)
Reality Glitch: ((Gwystan, I believe.))
GM: (With pleasure!) Gwystan continues his tour with Diamond Kitchen. He thinks he'll casually disappear another ingredient here.
GM: !f 3 (Gwystan Sneaky)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+3 for 4 [4dF = [ ][ ][ ][+]]
Dovelia: "Rachelle! Stop playing with the monkey and get these drinks out!" Dovelia barks.
GM: "I got 'em!" Norstar picks up the order and takes it out.
GM: She's not the most graceful, but when she finally does waddle out, she decides to charm the table with the best tool of wiles; trivia!
GM: !f 3 (Clever)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+3 for 1 [4dF = [ ][ ][-][-]]
GM: (Luckily, a failure here simply means nothing gained instead of a bad thing, unless you want to invoke something.)
Ratatoskr: (...God, I'm actually kind of of in a tight spot, Ratatoskr and Zicks can't really do much because Cocoa will have to go out again to help with the Soup spill and they already did their part on the dishes >.<)
Reality Glitch: "Just doing a little pest control. Don't want them monkey-ing around in our stuff."
GM: Ooh, now this, Gwystan can use. "Mind if I borrow this White Nova Chocolate - Sweet [!!]?" "If you must," says Lithia, "but know that I still require it for my own project! Do not tarry with it." "Thanks." By the time it dawns on her who she was talking to, Gwystan is gone.
GM: (Unless you want to do it yourself, <@!Ratatoskr>?)
GM: (Also, Cocoa has one dish planned. Nothing is stopping you from starting the last dish yourselves.)
Dovelia: Mz. Cozo, in the meantime, snatches up her skewers and begins working on the sauce. She's lucky Dovelia has her attention elsewhere, because seeing her heating up the tiny ramekin she's going to use in the hyperwave oven would otherwise ratchet her already high blood pressure up to apoplectic levels.
Dovelia: (trying to make prep aspect [Heated Ramekin])
Dovelia: !f 1 (Careful)
DiscoDude: <@Dovelia> rolled 4dF+1 for 1 [4dF = [+][+][-][-]]
GM: (It's a tie!)
Dovelia: (does that boost?)
GM: (It a boosty. :3)
Dovelia: And she whisks the -Heated Ramekin- out before Dovelia can turn around. She has no idea the bullet she's dodged here.
GM: (BTW, do either of you want to spend a FATE point on something to save Norstar's roll?)
Dovelia: (five exchanges left and one FATE Point so not me)
Ratatoskr: Ratatoskr rushes to help the client whose soup was spilled over with towel in hand as he urges Cocoa to go back and help with the dishes. Ratatoskr then tried to act as quickly as possible, salvage what's left of the soup, clean the man's cloths to the best of his (towel's) Ability and promptly scram back to his station in the hopes of helping Cocoa with the last dish. (Rolling Quick to speed run through this issue!)
Ratatoskr: !f 1 (and possibly boosting with [Feeling The Pressure])
DiscoDude: <@Ratatoskr> rolled 4dF+1 for -1 [4dF = [ ][-][-][ ]]
GM: (You are shy by 3.)
Ratatoskr: (D-Double compel?)
GM: (Can't. Against the rules. The aspect stays!)
Ratatoskr: (Fffffffffff)
GM: "What are you- Tosky, you're doing it all wrong! Here..." She gets you away from the rattled patron and starts dabbing at his clothes with a cloth gently.
GM: !f 3 (Careful)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+3 for 4 [4dF = [-][ ][+][+]]
GM: While it seems slower at first, it's really a lot more effective.
GM: ( <@Reality Glitch>, do you want to invoke one of Norstar's aspects with a FATE point?)
Reality Glitch: ((No.))
GM: (Alright.)
Ratatoskr: "Hey, you can't stay out here all the time, we could use your help at the station!"
GM: And her glorious trivia fizzles; apparently, the patrons already knew the cocktail's origins, and in fact, that's why they ordered it in the first place. It didn't help that Norstar tried to repeat it a second time, that being the only piece of actually relevant trivia she knew. The guests enjoyed the beverage, but their service was just a bit odd.
GM: "I know, Tosky, I know! I have a dish idea, and there's still plenty of time to make it... Wait, are you saying that a dish and a side is all the both of you can do by yourselves?!" She stifles a 'what the FUCK' under a covered breath. "Come to think of it, where's Gwystan? I haven't seen him this whole competition!"
GM: In the meantime, Protactinium reprograms one of the sous-bots while the other heads into the pantry once again.
GM: !f 2 (Prepping and Securing Ingredients)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+2 for 0 [4dF = [-][-][+][-]]
GM: And it brings back... Nebula Cream (Curdled) - Cool {!}.
GM: And the other, already reprogrammed, attempts to put it into the time accelerator so it can make the pluckshrooms [Dipped in Aged Cream - Cool 1].
Ratatoskr: "I- Hey- That too! I haven't seen him since this started, So we should get on to work while we CAN!"

Luckily, Zicks is actually proving they can finish a dish, dumping a load of some sour cheese he found inside the cooker and placing it all in a fancy plate for a [Molten Sour Dressing - Sour][Value : 2] here's hoping that was cheese...
GM: !f 2 (Making or Plating Dishes in Any Flavor)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+2 for 2 [4dF = [-][+][ ][ ]]
GM: (Anyone want to invoke that bad ingredient against the sous-bot?)
GM: (Also, roll it <@!Ratatoskr>!)
GM: ( <@!Ratatoskr>?)
Ratatoskr: !f 0
DiscoDude: <@Ratatoskr> rolled 4dF+0 for 3 [4dF = [+][ ][+][+]]
Ratatoskr: (...)
GM: (That's a 4, actually, since "EVERYTHING ELSE" is Average (+1)!)
Ratatoskr: (...)
Ratatoskr: That, was, definitivamente, "cheese".
GM: (Yeah, sometimes risky rolls actually pay off. Who woulda thunk?)
GM: (<@&492818331418755092>, does anyone want to invoke that bad cream against the sous-bot? Going once... Going twice...)
Dovelia: (i have one FATE Point left and I haven't started my main course)
GM: (It has a negative free invoke.)
GM: (Does anyone actually read the note doc?)
Reality Glitch: ((I saw that it had a free invoke.))
Dovelia: (oh, OH)
Dovelia: (well, hell, there we go)
Dovelia: (KILL THE SUCKER)
GM: (... According to the anonymous animal, only one person besides myself actually had it open...)
Reality Glitch: ((I'm just tired and slow because I have had zero consistency in my sleep schedule.))
GM: (Do you invoke it then, <@Reality Glitch>?)
Reality Glitch: ((<@!Dovelia> just said they did.))
GM: (Right, right.)
GM: "...? -! AAAA!" Protactinium rushes to stop the sous-bot from putting the already-curdled cream into the temporal accelerator. With a sigh, she puts it in a blender and adds a single purifying tablet (hence the invoke's elimination). Hopefully, this should be enough to make the results less disastrous on a future attempt.
GM: (And with that, it is way too late to do another exchange. Last lines before the judges come out?)
Dovelia: "Right," Dovelia says. "Time to actually start on that steak. And if I find that voodoo lady within five feet of my grill, I swear..."
Ratatoskr: "ZICKS IS NOT USELESS, YOU OVERSIZED SQUIRREL!!"
GM: (When did Ratatoskr say that? XD)
Reality Glitch: Rachelle, realizing Norstar of all people beat them to a speedy delivery starts to panic. "GottaGoFast!"
GM: (Then let us...)
GM: !end
