- - Removed heal on afterburn
- The healing on afterburn did not appear to be especially helpful bonus. This attempts to test out a damage-related buff to emphasize and facilitate combos with your primary and a more direct health boost.
- The Phlogistinator
- - MMMPH boosted afterburn doesn't deal minicrits
- Appeared too punishing for players caught in Pyro's way on top of generally being buggy, afterburn damage boost was deemed potent enough.
- Gas Passer
- + Gas cloud cleans teammates of afterburn, jarate, milk, and gas
- - Explosion damage minimized while retaining ability to ignite surrounding players
- Reducing it's burst damage potential while giving it an alternative supportive element it may be used for that takes advantage of the lingering effect.
- Flamethrowers
- + Base damage taken from flames is no longer based on particle age, just range and temperature (or flame density)
- + Temperature doesn't reset instantly without flame contact, but starts 0.25s after last contact and resets gradually by 1.5s

- Aim is to remedy the wildly varying damage done by flamethrowers and reward accurate pyros without arbitrarily resetting their damage based on a stray old particle.
- Afterburn
- ~ Damage scales with remaining afterburn duration
- ~ At base: 10-7s: 6 dmg/tick, 7-5s: 5 dmg/tick, 5-3s: 4 dmg/tick, 3-0s: 3 dmg/tick
- Intended to further reward better aim with flamethrowers, additionally strengthens items that apply longer afterburn for area denial or weakens shorter afterburn used to facilitate burst damage.
