- install all programs and decoders, remember to find a nice place for madVR to be extracted to where it wont get deleted
- open MPC-HC check store settings to .ini file
- close mpc-hc
- copy the .ini to C:\Program Files (x86)\Media Player Classic - Home Cinema\ and overwrite the file that is there
- start up MPC-HC and play a file known to have video, audio, and subs *you can use the sample video provided
- click into the files let it seek there then pause
- right click the video and go to filters, madVR, LAV video decoder, DirectVovSub, Lav audio decoder, and the files path should be listed
- if everything is there your good to start changing the settings
- right click the video and go to filters, click DirectVobSub, and click properties
- go to colors tab
- move YV12 to the top of the preferance order
- under dynamic change click YV12 and click change
- hit apply the ok at the bottom
- right click the video and go to filters, click LAV Audio Decoder
- under output formats uncheck both 32bit optins unless your audio card somehow supports it
- under options
- check expand mono to stereo and expand 6.1 to 7.1
- click on at the bottom
- if you have a dedicated GPU:
- right click the video and go to filters, click madvr, then Edit Settings
- click and expand devices then click your device
- set the device type
- expand your device and set the display mode *if you dont know what display mode you should set contact me
- click and expand processing
- turn of all decoding and deinterlacing
- click and expand scaling algorithems
- click luma upscaling and set it to spline
- click luma downscaling and set it to spline
- click and expand rendering and click general setings
- check disable desktop composition and uncheck only in fullscreen
- hit apply the ok at the bottom then ok and the window that is still on screen
- *if you have problems with preformance its probably because you dont have a powerful enough GPU contact me for help adjusting
- if you have a Nvidia GPU capable of CUDA:
- right click the video and go to filters, click LAV Video decoder
- under hardware acceleration, gardware decoder change to CUVID
- under Hardware/GPU deinterlacing makesure the algorithem is set to adaptive and high-quality processing is checked
- on the output formats side change RGB output levels to untouched
- click on at the bottom
- *depending on your GPU you may not be able to use both madVR and CUVID, if you have problems with preformance contact me for help
- You have now completed configuring MPC-HC close the program completely and try playing the provided video, contact me if any problems result.
- **NOTE: to change track in files right click, go to files, then the files path, and you should be able to select the sudio video and subs that you want
