Science Dream

Lets see, it started with me being an experiment of some mad scientist. I was basically locked up with some other experiments. It was not particularly fun.

At one point mr. mad scientists basically chestburstered a squid/tentacly monster person out of a pair of travelers, and said monster ended up sleeping next to me. Which did not help my mood, since I was absolutely terrified of the thing on account of having seen it's "birth".

Luckily, as it turned out, the monster person was not fundamentally evil. She ended up liking me because I "shared" my room with her and since she was technically younger than me I guess she looked up to me? Despite being substantially stronger than I was.

We ended up becoming friends and we (mostly her) broke out of the mad scientist's lab and escaped.

I don't exactly remember the interim, but we ended up living in a nearbyish city that I guess was somewhat friendly towards unusual creatures. I think we ended up on the police force or something vaguely similar. At some point mr. mad scientist came to havoc and get us back (not in either particular order) and we managed to drive him off.

At some other point we learned that some mysterious artifact was found by an old archivist woman and we were sent to investigate/see if we could help. The artifact was this small cube thing but no one knew how to activate it. I don't remember exactly what happened but mr. mad scientist ended up coming by and ended up falling in love with ms. archivist. With his help we were able to activate the cube, which turned out to be something akashic-esq. When expanded, it showed writing describing the future.

Something on the cube said something like ms. archivist would be important for something to come, or something like that. But as it turned out I was the best at actually using the cube. I could get it to display more text and such. So I ended up taking care of the thing. And mr. mad scientist left peacefully because he wanted ms. archivist to like him and as such didn't cause any chaos that time.

There was another minor interlude of me and tentacle girl at some sort of amusement park. It seems like around this time I had learned some mad science of my own, because when mr. mad scientist appeared again and injected me with something, I had already given myself some sort of antibody. There was also a small scene where I was playing air hockey with some kids who were totally cheating and using like 4 paddles each. I won and they were ticked, but I basically said "Since I used one paddle and you used four, I _should_ be asking for 4 times the reward. Be glad I'm only asking for what we agreed upon" and the kids backed off and gave me the prize thing.

Some time afterwards the dream's true villain appeared. Some sort of evil organization that consisted of lots of cyborgs. They attacked ms. archivist, seeking the cube, but she didn't have it. She was put into a coma, though, which did not make mr. mad scientist happy _at all_. So he ended up helping us against the evil organization.

At some point the organization revived this super hero-type person and sent him against us. He was _very scary_ and even tentacle girl couldn't stand up to him. I was fleeing with the cube and was trying to use it to find some sort of fact that could help us. I ultimately tried to use the cube to _change_ one of the future facts, but since I wasn't ms. archivist the cube locked up and didn't allow me to use it any more. So I begged and begged the cube (I sort of treated it as if it were a living thing, which I think is why it responded so well to me) to do something, because me and my friends were going to die. And the cube basically figured out some way around its "only ms. archivist can access its reality changing functions" by activating the functions itself, because there wasn't actually any rule about _it_ doing things of its own will.

So it sent me into an alternate past were the hero had been revived earlier by someone not evil and in that past me and hero became friends. So when I snapped back into the present, hero was my friend and I was able to talk him out of attacking us and working for the organization.

In the end of the dream I was fighting against the organization alongside the police force and I was directing out laser tanks (we were pretty awesome) against rocket-launcher using cyborgs. Until for some reason, even though I was signaling for the lasers, they weren't coming. I ran down to the tanks to see what was going on and there was mr. mad scientist, having done something to the tanks. I was not pleased since they were my awesome laser tanks and what was mr. mad scientist doing messing with them.

I don't exactly remember what happened afterwards but mr. mad scientist had some sort of drug he started using to take over the cyborgs. I think he also tried to use the drug on me, but it didn't work for some reason, and around then I woke up.
