Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation has announced that 23 Emirati engineers - including five women - have graduated from its Nuclear Fuel Design Energy Pioneers training programme. Held in partnership with Enec's joint venture partner and prime contractor, Korea Electric Power Corporation, the three-year programme in South Korea "provides the foundation for UAE nationals to become the nation's future nuclear fuel experts", the company said. Since its creation in 2009, some 450 UAE nationals have graduated from Enec's Energy Pioneers Scholarship Program, with a further 289 currently participating in it. Link: The Gulf Today Newspaper
