Pirrue: "Martyn! Martyn!" Pirrue calls out as she dashes to the (presumed) rescue.
Lightrunner: Lightrunner casually strolls over, "Well?"
GM: Out on the balcony, Pirrue and Lightrunner can see down into the motel parking lot, where Martyn is being manhandled by a wolf in a heart-enblazoned hoodie.
“Tell me what she said!” He says.
Lightrunner: He squints, "Hey, wolf boy." He looks down, "She's right here." she points to Pirrue.
Pirrue: is briefly taken aback, then rallies and balls up her fists.
Pirrue: "That's right," she says, "I'm here, and I'm gonna kick your ass if you don't let her go!"
GM: His head snaps in Pirrue’s direction, and he lets go of Martyn, before running to the stairs leading up to the second floor.
Pirrue: briefly thinks, "what do I do? WHAT DO I DO?!?"
Lightrunner: "Who did you fuck over, kid?" He says and summons his stand and melds with Pirrue as some type of armor. Probably heavy, but will be protective nonetheless.
GM: The wolf runs up to the duo.
“Hey, hey hey hey, why’s she wearing this weird armor?” He shakes his head. “No, that don’t matter!” He grabs Pirrue’s shoulders. “You have to tell me! Every last detail! What did he look like?! What did he sound like?! How did that fucker smell?!”
Pirrue: "Beats the heck out of me..." She's suddenly accosted by the man: "W-who are you talking about?"
Lightrunner: Lightrunner looks at him, "Great, buddy, you got some explaining to do." He glares.
GM: “The guy that killed you, of cooooooooooourse!!! Serated Opus!” An orange, muscular wolf with red weave and a pale diamond motif appears behind the one shaking Pirrue. “Don’t make me beat it out of you and that shitty armor!” Suddenly, the armor around Pirrue takes on a red glow.
Pirrue: glares. "I don't remember anything. But if I ever come face to face with him again..."
Pirrue: "...I'll repay the favor."
Lightrunner: "Motherfucking stand user!" He yells, he grabs a hold of a piece of armor and tries to form it into a knife before trying to dismiss his stand.
GM: He glances at Lightrunner. “Oh, I really don’t like that knife, ‘cause I like my body,” his body takes on a blue glow, “and you prolly wanna to bad things to my body with that knife.” The knife is keeping the red glow from when it was part of the armor. He glances back to Pirrue. “Please, even the tiniest clue about that cunt-ass titty fuckin’ douchbag killer, I gotta know. Please!” Pirrue notices a ferocious, almost certainly desperate look in his eyes.
Pirrue: "Whoa, hey, now," Pirrue says, giving the guy a weird look at his choice in language. "My mom'd wash your mouth out with soap right around now."
Lightrunner: He drops the knife and attempts to punch him with his naturally armored fist.
GM: “Does it look like I care?! When I find him, I’m gonna- I’m gonna rip out his intestines and fuck his skull! I- Maybe turn him into art or something, whatever it is he did to her, see how he likes it!” He’s actually shedding tears at this point. “You... You at least told me it was a “him,” right? That means you heard his voice. What did he s-oop?!” He reels back at the punch. “Okay, I think I just don’t like you, man.” Lightrunner himself is surrounded in a red glow.
Lightrunner: He decides to summon his stand as armor again, "Looks like you can only target one think with a weakness, is that right?"
Pirrue: "What the hell are you even doing to him. It's clearly a Stand power but what does it do? So far I've seen 'summon a giant cage thing,' 'manipulate shadows,' and of course 'control loose bits of metal'..."
Lightrunner: "It's obvious, red means bad, blue means good. It's practically the most simple thing to connect dots."
GM: “Oh, him?” He points at the diamond wolf behind him. “My name’s Jack Grey, and this here’s [MAROON 5]. It can mark anything as something I ’like’ or something I ’dislike’. And let me tell you, stuff I ’like’ tends to win. Things I ’dislike’... don’t. I dunno why I’m even telling you this. Are you protecting that killer or something?!”
Lightrunner: "I don't like it when other people with stands barge in my life." He growls, "Now answer some questions, now."
Pirrue: "What? No!" Pirrue snaps back at Jack's assertion.
Lightrunner: He looks at Pirrue, and back at Jack, "Why would I be keeping her safe if I also wanted to kill her? You got a head full of rocks, man."
GM: Jack scratches his head. “Fair point, but still, you seem to like getting in the way of my revenge. Plus, I’m pretty sure I answered the girl’s question. Unless you have more?”
GM: “I do,” says Martyn, who found her way back up to the apartment, “what’s a Stand? You two been holding out on me?”
Pirrue: "We are not getting in your way," Pirrue huffs. "I already told you I'm going to kill that bastard."
Lightrunner: "I have tons more, the most important one is that Pawe sent-" He looks over at Martyn, son of a bitch... "You want some explanation on what a stand is? It's a name for a ghost. These ghosts haunt certain people and attack without warning."
Pirrue: "...Yeah, let's go with that."
Lightrunner: "There, unless you're also a internet celebrity for communing with ghosts through an Ouji board, then that wouldn't be a good headline for you on some site that children must go to." He looks at Pirrue, waiting for some push from here.
Pirrue: glares at Martyn. "I'm possessed by a frickin' evil spirit. You better run, 'cause I don't know what it's going to do next."
GM: “... Fair point. But what’s this about Pawe? Ain’t that a local crime family?”
GM: “O-kay?” Martyn backs away.
Lightrunner: He groans, "You know what, how about we move someplace else, instead of creating a fire hazard in front of my room."
Lightrunner: He unsummons his stand and moves past everybody, "Now follow me, or not, I couldn't really care unless you plan on entering my apartment."
Pirrue: follows.
GM: Martyn and Jack both follow, though the latter tries to avoid the former’s weird glances.
Lightrunner: He goes ahead and enters a coffee shop, and orders a coffee before sitting down near a table next to the bathrooms, if the others want coffee or sweets or anything, it's up them. If not he's going to wait for everybody to sit down near the table.
Pirrue: sits down. She has to remind herself she can't be feeling hungry.
GM: Jack sits right down, not bothering to order anything, while Martyn goes off to order something big and pretentious.
GM: “So what did you want to ask me?” Jack leans forward.
Pirrue: honestly wants to know too, but she continues her death glare like she knows exactly what Lightrunner's going to ask.
Lightrunner: "I want all of you to ask questions to each other before I talk. If you start shit in public this is on you guys."
Pirrue: "I got one question, and one question alone," Pirrue says, the top of a salt shaker discreetly twisting off. "Are we all gonna get along here?" She steeples her fingers and keeps up her glare at Mertyn and Jack.
Lightrunner: "If one if you starts shit, I'll call the police for getting aggressive in public."
GM: Martyn shrugs. “That’s what I’m hoping. I keep you updated, and same for you with me.”
Jack glances at Lightrunner. “Look, all I care about is getting my hands on that Serrated Opus bastard. If you guys wanna cooperate with those ends, then we’ll get along fine. I just hope your friend here can get that stick out of his ass. Yeah, I can come off pretty aggressive, but come on...”
Pirrue: "I think we can come to an arrangement," Pirrue says.
Pirrue: She glances meaningfully at Lightrunner.
Lightrunner: "I got a stick in an ass for plenty of reasons." He says, "And you mister cream pop wolf boy, you better show some respect." He then turns over to Pirrue, "I'm a strict man. They all have to oblige to the rules I set out."
Lightrunner: "Having you already is going to make shit worse, kid."
Lightrunner: "You did attract two people, to my house, because of some music box that can transform with a key."
Pirrue: "That's fine. Just so long as I - we - get our shot at that Opus guy."
GM: “And Melody, too,” said Martyn, “considering that theft isn’t usually part of the killer’s MO.”
“Yeah, sure, whatever,” said Jack, “don’t really care, but if getting close to one means getting close to the other, then I’m game.”
Pirrue: frowns to herself. The anger - the frustration - she's felt since waking up has been all about her murder at the hands of Serrated Opus. The Box...the Box was her masterwork, but it hasn't been on her mind nearly as much as she would've thought. She could...always rebuild it, couldn't she? What would anyone want it for in the first place? Would anyone else even understand what it really was?
GM: “So anyways,” says Jack, “what were you going to ask me back there, Mr...?”
Lightrunner: "Yeah sure, if nobody has anymore questions." He leans over, "Do you work for Alphonse Pawe?"
GM: “Who? And you never even told me your name before accusing me?” He looks to the side. “Also, I also have a question not quite answered by Pirrue here; you said Serrated Opus was a ‘he,’ so that means you heard his voice, right? What did he say?”
Pirrue: "...Creepy shit. Like he thought murdering me was romantic."
Lightrunner: "Alphonse Pawe's goons all have Stands, so I just assume random people walking up to me has to do with Pawe."
Pirrue: "It's a good question. Where did you get your Stand from?" Pirrue says, eyeing Jack suspiciously.
GM: “Weird,” he turns to Pirrue, “and also weird, but at least I can understand just a little bit of what that bastard is thinking.” He seems to think for a second. “Now, I never consciously thought about where my Stand came from until now. I guess I had it from birth?”
Pirrue: "...I didn't know that was a thing." She turns to Lightrunner: "Is that a thing? I'm not sure it's a thing."
Lightrunner: "Do you think I'm a stand expert?" He says, "Anything is possible." He brushes it off. "And why do you care about revenge? Did Serrated Opus kill a loved one or something?"
Pirrue: "He kinda said exactly that already."
GM: “... You could say that. In fact, that’s exactly what happened... probably. ‘Probably’ on account of my sis just disappearing like all the rest of his victims. She was just starting to make it big, too. So when I heard the news that someone got got by him and came back to tell the tale, I just had to seek her out. ‘Her’ meaning you. I actually got pretty lucky, spotting you with this guy on your way back to that apartment.”
Pirrue: "Wait, wait. I'm...I'm an exception?"
Lightrunner: He shrugs, "Well, if you decide to get aid from Pirrue, I'll have to keep you on a leash." He then turns to her, "You got revived, Necopossums."
GM: “Like I said,” says Martyn, “the theory going around is that Serrated Opus got interrupted on this one, probably by the Phantom Thief Melody themself.”
Pirrue: "Yeah, but...nekopossums can't come back from getting disappeared like that."
GM: “Like I said,” says Martyn, “the theory going around is that Serrated Opus got interrupted on this one, probably by the Phantom Thief Melody themself. Talk about two worlds colliding.”
Pirrue: steeples her fingers again.
Pirrue: So I was targeted by two different criminals at the same time for two different reasons? she thinks. What the hell kind of luck have I GOT?!?
Lightrunner: He takes a sip from his coffee, "If I'm going to carry you two, you're both going to be an a tighter leash, and not act with reckless abandon. That means the both of you."
Pirrue: "I'm fine with that," Pirrue says, as if she hadn't just run out his door trying to save someone she barely even knows.
GM: “Heck,” says Martyn, “I’ll be out of your hair unless one of us has information for the other, so you don’t gotta worry about me.”
Lightrunner: "If Alphonse is who I think he is. He is the Father of crime, he is the head of all the other smaller crime gangs." He pauses, "He also has a stand that can not only freeze you, but your stand. And when I mean freeze, I mean literally chill you to the bone."
Pirrue: "Wait, what? A crime boss with a stand power?"
Lightrunner: "Alphonse could be leading Opus and Melody too."
GM: “Actually, according to my notes on the Pawe family, it’s his dad, Avicci, who runs the whole shebang,” says Martyn.
Lightrunner: "I said his goons have stands too. He probably was using something to convert them. It's not impossible for both Serrated and Melody to have stands, and maybe even Avicci has the strongest stand, if not..." He pauses to take another sip of coffee, "Alphonse plans to get rid of his dad and own the businesses of his father, probably make it look like to be an accident." He takes another swig, "Although right now, this is speculation, besides the goons and stands."
Pirrue: "...It's good speculation."
GM: “Huh,” says Jack. “So what’s the plan of attack here?”
Lightrunner: "By the old abandoned movie theater, it's been probably a couple of days since, so I doubt what's there before will still be there." He finishes the coffee, "It's the best shot to crippling Alphonse."
Pirrue: "I like this plan. When do we start?"
Lightrunner: "Now, as soon as all of you are ready, let's go." He looks at Martyn and hands them a slip of paper, "Call me whenever." He says before heading out.
GM: Jack follows.
Pirrue: follows as well.
Pirrue: "...Time to hit the road!"
