Nicknamed Termovision by the Tech-Com agents who have spliced into it, a HUD is a  transparent data display overlay over direct input from a Terminator’s visual receptors. Typically, Terminators operate Termovision in infrared mode for more in depth data reports. Facial recognition software interfaces with psychological profiles and a massive database to determine threat assessments and identify targets. Computation reports displayed through Termovision can extrapolate distances, trajectories, and even clothing sizes. The Terminator can also read lifesigns and determine a target’s vulnerability. When communicating with humans, typical responses to audio input are also displayed for the Terminator to choose from. Termovision also monitors internal hardware and software operations and displays diagnostic information. Finally, Termovision acts like night vision, allowing a Terminator to see in the dark. Extreme heat or light can momentarily blind it.
