  1. Read the blog post! Email Holo.
  2.
  3. And be sure you really want to do this. Don't stinx up the place by realising you actually have to work and then leaving.
  4.
  5. Get the test at http://hologfx.com/qcingtest/
  6. Right click, "Save Link As", you have the test. Yes, it's not something you'd make your mother read.
  7.
  8. Holo paste:
  9. QC Test: This test is strictly a test of your ability to QC. No editing involved. Your job is spot the errors. For example, spelling mistakes, its/it's etc etc. US/UK spelling does not count as a spelling error. For the record, we use UK spelling. Find the errors, correct them, and add {fixed} to the end of the line. Send the .ass file back to my (Holo's, in the topic) email, with your irc name in it.
  10.
  11. tl;dr Find and kill spelling problems, mark them {fixed}. Ignore grammar/wording mistakes, we'll do that later.
  12. We use UK spelling, but disregard US/UK spelling differences in this test.
  13.
  14. To edit the .ass file
  15. Windows
  16. -Aegisub. You'll need it eventually
  17. http://www.aegisub.org/
  18. -Notepad / Notepad++ works for the QC test
  19.
  20. Mac
  21. -Textedit. For the love of god do not use Aegisub for Mac.
  22.
  23. Linux
  24. -I can't into computers. Hopefully you're using *nix because you know stuff, and thus can figure it out yourself. Any text editor should work.
  25.
  26. When you finish, email Holo the .ass with your name in it, e.g. "QC Test - rarely_upset.ass"
  27.
  28. Holo will check the tests and get back to you eventually. A lot of people have applied, so that might mean it'll take a few days. Hang out in #doki-recruits! During timer recruits a lot of sparkling friendships were formed, although hopefully we can get this done more quickly. There's plenty of friendly folk in #doki or just across Rizon.
  29.
  30. More questions?
  31. Highlight someone with a symbol next to their name in #doki-recruits.
