I cheated...

I cheated. About 3 years ago i was playing on a server called CTG old dayz. A server that tried to replicate a game called DayZ, with zombies and survival aspect mod. Mod was called Exile, a survival zombie like mod. At the time i believe i was looking for a good server to play on, and i thought i found it. Until i died and lost everything i had worked for. It took me a couple of hours to get stuff done. So i decided that i was gonna have a look around in the XM8 Menu, an infiSTAR mod. Then i saw that i could deploy a bodyguard. I saw that it only costed me around 2.000 poptabs which was very affordable at the time. I ended up deploying this bodyguard, i also bought a car trying to get the ai bodyguard to sit in it with me so that i could possibly do a couple of missions, But i ended up accidentally killing the ai bodyguard. I fully looted the ai to then sell the ai bodyguards items, but i didn't have enough room in my inventory to fit it all. So i drove up the car right next to me in order to fit all the items in the car to later go sell it. I then drove to the trader so that i could sell the items i had collected from the accidental murder of my so called bodyguard. So i went to a trader and sold all of the items, but then realized that i was selling the attachments of the weapon from the ai bodyguard countless times without the attachments actually getting sold. Meaning i got both poptabs and respect doing so without actually selling the actual item. This is where it all started when i saw that i could keep duping money and respect and getting myself to the end quickly without actually having to do all the work and hustle by myself. Sure i do understand it is pathetic and i do regret it not only because i got infiSTAR banned but because i pretty much took away the point of playing. Anyways, i set up an auto clicker that would click sell twice every half second or maybe even second or so. Took a couple of hour break then came back, i saw then later that i had a lot of money, But then i also saw that the admin had logged on to monitor what people were doing and then came across me duping, like the dumbass i was. The admin recorded a video then reported me to infiSTAR which i do not blame at all. Admin believed i was truly hacking, which i actually wasn't. I ended up getting banned from both the server and infiSTAR, The reason why i was cheating was because i was being a lazy child. I didn't actually fully understand the consequences, and also having a bad day in arma 3 exile overall. Now i realize that i was being very stupid doing this as it not only takes away the point of playing but ruins the server. I had an unfair advantage knowing about this and doing it rather than actually playing the game as intended. Joining a brand new server with nothing then finding out about a glitch letting the new player get access to all the end game items would not be fair to the rest of the server. I feel like i should get unbanned due to the fact that it has been three years since the initial ban, and because of the fact that i was not hacking unlike others. I felt like my case was completly different from the other cases because i was not using any sort of 2nd party cheat software to do this glitch with. Now i know that there is consequences for everything and i really do regret doing this mistake and wish to be unbanned so that i could play legit and actually enjoy the game with not only friends but with myself too. The reason why i am now doing this essay is because i do want to actually be seen as a normal player and not some sort of cheater. I know that it makes me look bad due to the fact i was cheating, but not hacking but now i feel like i want to play and be like everyone else playing arma 3.

Another reason why i though cheating was to benefit me was because i wanted to be a so called ruler of the server in having a lot of money and assets. I wanted to be so called rich and just have a lot of stuff without giving a care about anything. I now know why that will not happen because i did in fact get banned, But if i haven't gotten banned i would probably have ended up quitting after a day or two since i would not have anything to do on the server at all. The more i think about cheating makes me feel a bit more pathetic not actually having to get to earn any of those items and assets. Cheating to get those items now feel very stupid and dumb. I actually can not blame the admins for banning me permanently from both infiSTAR and the server. In fact i can actually give them credit for doing their job. I feel like i have had my sentance now for 3 years and after this essay it will be 4 years. It is about time i actually take my time to write this and hopefully get myself unbanned. Another reason why duping would effect the server is not only the economy but the player base. If everyone knew what i was doing, they would probably most likely have done the same if they had the option too, depending on if they would get banned or not. Im not saying everyone would cheat but probably a majority of the population of the server some would agree on duping and earning both money and respect. so that they could achieve the end game status. The server would probably most likely also die out if the admins weren't there to ban me and those who cheated. Lets say i build up a server just to have some piece of shit dickhead ruining it for not only themselves but the server, i would find the cheater and then ban them just because of them ruining the server that i spent time setting up and making it functional for players to come and play on my server. Then report them hoping they would get a ban permanently for ruining the experience for everyone. I believe if a couple of cheaters would come and join a server just to hack and cheat i believe that the server would die out very quickly if there wouldn't have been anyone there to stop it. I really really do want to start playing this game again because i have a couple of friends that wanted to play arma 3 with me, but me being as dumb as i was 3 years ago i had already gotten myself banned due to the fact of me being greedy and cheating.

really hope you guys consider reading this and approving it so that i could return back to this game without having to think about which servers i can play on, and it is not many because of how large and popular infiSTAR has gotten, theres not many servers that run their server without infiSTAR. I really regret my mistake i really do, i understand the fact that hackers and cheaters need to go away. it is nearly impossible getting rid of them, most we can do is report them and move on.
