A quick look around and he gathered three of the weapons the creatures carried, removing their primitive missiles. Pulling a vial from a pocket, he used the chemical it contained to melt the metal and change its properties until, finally, he could cover his wounds. He stifled a scream at the blazing pain, daring not to attract the attention of his adversaries.
