- I sit in my nest and carefully pull apart this lump of meat. It is the last of the meat I have saved for myself, so I want to eat it slowly. So I touch it gently and pull it into threads before I eat it. It is not a very interesting lump of meat, so I would rather eat it all in one bite, but once I run out I will be hungry again.
- I have finished it. I have eaten lumps of meat like it many times before, so it was not a very interesting meal. But it was a meal. There is not much left around me to eat, so I am thankful to myself for saving a couple of lumps for later. I am out of lumps now, though, so I am hungry again.
- The only thing around me is my nest. I've already eaten everything else. If I traveled far, I could find somethings I have not eaten yet. But I am sure I would have already eaten things like them. To me, meat that I have not eaten before is the tastiest. Learning what something is composed of makes the meal even more filling.
- I think I will leave this material and find a new material to eat. I pull my hand out through this material's skin and float away from it. I must have eaten more of this material than I thought. It's skin is tattered and weak where my nest was. If another of my kin finds it, they will not have a hard time pushing through. But I have not felt any of my kin recently.
- I think I understand now where my kin went. An incredibly appetizing scent is drifting through the astral. I was paying too much attention to the material and I did not notice it. Not only is the scent appetizing, I can also smell things in it that I have never eaten. I can not believe I almost missed such an opportunity. I hope there is still interesting meat there when I arrive.
