<p><b>Biography</b>: A curious, calm-headed owlin that believes people generally mean good. He doesn't always understand people and has rather low empathy, but still shows compassion! They aren't always the best listener though... He doesn't have any particularly strong bonds with others, whether it be family or friends. They are all on good terms, but they're nonetheless a bit distant from them. Their current bonds are with university peers and his mentors in the anthropology department. </p>

<p>Growing up, he strung along in bigger friend groups and was content with where he "belonged." They weren't great at academics or sports, nor did they have any passion in hobbies. Being average didn't really deter him, and he never faced tremendous mental or social struggles. As he entered college, they followed the cookie-cutter route of a STEM field; after all, they weren't passionate about anything, might as well find a job that pays well! While they managed to stay afloat, something nagged at them... this didn't feel fulfilling. He wasn't like, breaking down like his classmates over getting a 68%, but they weren't exactly happy. This wasn't all he had in store, was it?</p>

<p>Halfway through his studies, he decided to make a complete switch to anthropology. History, cultures, the purpose and meanings found in artifacts and practices - there was far more vibrancy!!! While there was still a ton they didn't fully understand, and how they pleasantly frustrated their professors with candid questions, they were driven by the curiosity of a field he'd never thought about before. The world around them was so vast, why not learn about it? He didn't travel much anyways, but learning about different places and times felt like transporting himself. It soon grew for a craving to become an adventurer! </p>

<p>Throughout their anthro studies, they helped catalog and organize artifacts at the academy. One artifact - nothing too worn down, but also not to be handled lightly - slipped from his hand and fell with a thud on the carpeted floor. "Oh, sorry about that," he said to no one but himself, and picked it up with care. Somehow, those mindless words awakened an otherworldly being within the artifact. </p>

<p>As it awakened, it presented Zayn with a potential contract. The being felt caged, being stored away in the school's campus for so long, and had never once seen the outside world. If they did, it was far too long ago. They wished for Zayn to help them explore the world beyond the school's ground, and in exchange, would grant him with gun and warlock abilities. He accepted - after all, their interests aligned! Whether or not Zayn's bond would grow differently with the strange being is a different story that will unfold....</p>

<li class="mb-2">Apparently naming him Xanax Librium was "too much" and I shouldn't "name a character after antidepressants" so now they're Zayn.... I still kept the Librium/Leebiram reference though.</li>
<li class="mb-2">It seems his future adventures with the artifact spirit may take a romantic turn...?</li>
