  1. The way I process my old DVD video (720x480i, 29.976fps) is first preprocess it with Vapoursynth with the following filters: CNR2, FDR, QTGMC, Auto Deblock, FineDehalo then Resized/ResampleHQ with Gaussian Filters to 960x720p, at this point the video has been deinterlaced and odd/even frames are both kept, resulting a frame rate of 59.94fps. The video is encoded with NVEnc as as H.265 HEVC Lossless video.
  2.
  3. Then the Vapoursynth processed video is then fed into VEAI v1.6.1 with Theia-HF v2.0 model, with the following settings: Sharpen :60, Restore Detail: 80, Reduce Noise: 0, and the video output size is 200%. and output is saved as PNGs.
  4.
  5. The finally the PNGs of each frame is then encoded via ffmpeg with NVEnc H.265 HEVC Lossless video, then audio is muxed to obtain the final video.
