- Work is on your way. Are you prepared to work? Do you have the potential, character, talents, and skills to take up the vigor of being a worker? What should you possess to become a good worker? How will you prepare for your work immersion?
- Some people work for money, while others do so out of passion for the job. Work implies economic growth, whereas a lack of it can lead to major economic problems in the society such as poverty. As a student, I believe that I’m mentally, physically, and emotionally ready to work since I need to apply all my learnings throughout the years of studying. In a world full of challenges, I also believe that I have the potential, character, talents, and skills to take up the vigor of being a worker. Everyday, the challenges I face enhance my skills, talents, and sometimes discover new things which become one of my assets in becoming a good worker. Moreover, Both soft skills and technical skills are equally important to possess in order to become a good worker. Also, preparing myself for a work immersion requires time and I think those things that I learned are of great help as I continue the journey in life. I will prepare for my work immersion just by determining and believing in my own strengths and weaknesses. We are not perfect in terms of talents, characteristics, and we do have our own strengths and weaknesses. The fact that we have weaknesses doesn't mean that we can't be good employees. We can only assume, this means that there are things in life that we have to learn and cope with. The first step in becoming a successful employee is to accept who we are and be honest with ourselves. And, being a good worker doesn’t mean to be academically good, it starts with having a passion and giving love to what job you are in.
- What is your philosophy in life?
- My philosophy in life is, “the best way for people to live is to cherish what you have now, live in the moment, give more, and love more”. Actually life goes by so quickly sometimes you don’t even notice all the changes that have been happening. Every minute of your life has an expiration date. Once a moment has passed, it is gone forever except in our memories. Cherishing moments as they happen will not only help you feel thankful for life, but also help you to have more positive and happy moments. No matter what we are in life, no matter what status we belong to, no matter what circumstances we are confronted with, we should cherish life. Because there is only one moment in our lives. If we have some discontentment and are always complaining, bear in mind that there are people at this very moment who are struggling for their last breath. If you were able to wake up, be thankful. Let's be happy that God gave us the gift of life. The gift of life is truly priceless. Nobody can buy a second chance at life with money. And, that's why life is such a precious gift, that we should treasure.
- What are your expectations and apprehensions for work immersion?
- Work Immersion is similar to what college students experience during their On-the-Job Training (OJT). In this experience, you will be hired as a practice employee (trainee) with different tasks to accomplish. It could be exciting yet frustrating at the same time. My expectations and apprehensions for work immersion are that it's gonna be hard and also I’m afraid to be in an environment outside of my comfort zone but I believe it’s going to be fun and gain new knowledge. Additionally, I expect to enhance my skills and to enlighten my mind for the things that I lack. Also, work experience provides an important opportunity to grow personally. Work immersion is significant to me because it helps me discover things that I can't imagine doing. In other words, you'll get a taste of what it's like to have a real job. Furthermore , this is a crucial requirement for every senior high school student to fulfill. As a result, it is expected to be one of the tiring and fun chapters of our life.
