* Gift cards can be given to the poor... which also prevents them from buying illegal drugs.
* Cashiers can leave the stores far earlier in not needing to count a whole lot of cash.
* Cashiers no longer need to wait usually over 15 minutes for smaller change.
* Cards are a whole lot of times easier to print than cash.
* Cards are a whole lot of times easier to recycle than cash.
* Billions of people already prefer to buy from their smartphones, especially given that they have to keep switching on a dedicated app for the tap feature to work.
* Move lineups most often a whole lot faster.
