Description

Welcome to the A2 level course! In this course, you will learn essential vocabulary and phrases to engage in everyday conversations in Slovak. Whether you're planning a trip to Slovakia, have Slovak-speaking friends or family, or simply want to expand your language skills, this course is designed to help you communicate effectively in various situations.

The course is divided into 3 main sections, each focusing on a specific topic. In the first one, we will cover Situational conversations (greetings and introductions, talking about yourself, your family, and friends, shopping and navigating stores, dining out and ordering food, describing your living space, discussing weather and seasons, daily activities and routines, traveling and getting around the city, expressing requests and emergencies, describing simple events and past experiences, and expressing future plans and intentions).

Throughout the course, in the second section, you will also learn important grammar concepts, including noun gender, singular & plural, and case, adjectives and superlativ & comparative, basic pronouns and their usage, verb conjugation in present, past, and future tenses, adverbs and their usage, prepositions and their meanings, sentence structure, and modal verbs.

To enhance your listening skills, in the third main section, the course includes listening exercises where you will practice understanding spoken Slovak. These exercises cover various scenarios, such as introducing a friend, shopping in a store, ordering food in a restaurant, discussing daily routines, giving directions in the city, talking about the weather forecast, planning with a friend, and sharing past experiences.

By the end of this course, you will have gained a solid foundation in conversational Slovak, enabling you to engage in basic conversations, understand and respond to common situations, and express your thoughts and intentions in Slovak.
