  25. I charged you my old rate of £45 +VAT instead of my current price of £65 + VAT because the work came via Simon.
  26.
  27. Time and a half, even at my old rate would be £67.50 + VAT (£81).
  28.
  29. If I had come in the week, you would be competing for my time with my business clients, and therefore the full cost of the call out would have been charged.
  30. If you still feel that a £20 discount is "time and a half", then I'd suggest a maths class.

  32. > 2. We also didn't know you were charging us by the time you spent here. Therefore we were surprised you used a timer to calculate your time here, I did note the time and over half an hour of that time you were talking to us about information we didn't need to know, storage, gaming etc. As I understand your expertise in your line of work I do feel that we have paid for you to sit and talk to us when the job in hand did only take half an hour. I didn't say anything at the time as I didn't want to appear rude but didn't realise you were at the time charging us.

  34. The "timer to calculate your time here" is a device I call "a clock", it's a device used to measure time by showing you the current time in the time zone you are located in. It's an interesting concept I know, but it's a device that has been in use for some time, appearing in the 15th Century.
  35. I charge in whole hours, with the first hour including the call out.
  36.
  37. On the phone I said this, and also said that I expected it would all be done with in the first hour.

  43. If you feel you were misled then you should see your GP about a referral to an audiologist.
