While the druidic arts engage in misdirection through shapeshifting to unfamiliar forms to avoid combat, and warriors engage in tactical repositioning to remove themselves from the range of their enemies weapons, the master assassins have taken the art of choosing how and when they will fight to a whole new level.

Through the use of a special powder, the formulation of which is a closely guarded secret of the Thieves Guild, the field of battle may be instantly obscured in blinding smoke allowing the thief to vanish completely from their enemies awareness only to reappear at their side to unleash a devestating attack or make quick their escape.

While one might think that the throwing of such powder requires little skill, the more dedicated thief can, through subtle alterations of the flick of the wrist and the spread of their fingers, disperse the powder in such a way as to optimize the duration and spread of the smoke cloud.

It should be noted that Sanctuary will brightly illuminate the wearer nullifying the efficacy of vanish as their location will be brightly highlighted. Should one wish to avail themselves of such protectives, make sure to obscure or darken the effects of these spells.
